Totally agreed..there were many, many, many better records this year than what you have. I'd have listed the Mars Volta, Conor Oberst and Porcupine Tree

CandyO
Depeche Mode - Sounds of the Universe
Muse - The Resistance
Killswitch Engage - Killswitch Engage

ETID was a great choice, I'll give you that. But two of Veds options are pretty terrible. PT is great, but the other two, painfully overrated.

1. With Roots Above and Branches Below - The Devil Wears Prada

That is the most tedious and repetitive album I've ever heard. I fucking hate it sooooooooo much.

Anyways, here are my "finalists" for album of the year.

And yeah, I know DDG are shit. Shut up. And I'm sure the same can and will be said about Silverstein. Whatever. I have a massive hardon for concept albums of any kind.
davida
crack the skye - mastodon

wavering radiant - isis

no more stories are told today i'm sorry they washed away no more stories the world is grey i'm tired let's wash away - mew

He's right about Conor Oberst at least. Guy is fucking obnoxious.

"hurrr i'm gonna get people to like me by crying everytime i play a song! i'm DEEEEP!"
fusion
Think of him what you want, I like him and think he is a great songwriter. This isn't supported by fact, just personal opinion.
Grunge_Girl
I disagree with people who think Daisy is that good. I've found it to be a very mediocre album.

Brand New fucking suck now
