Hi! My name is Emily, and I created a website with my friend where people can pledge to reduce their CO2 emissions at home. It's completely free, all you're doing is making a commitment to help the environment. Please, make your pledge and spread the word to everyone you know! Visit here to make your pledge.

You can read our blog here.

I was one of 16 students from around the world to go to Churchill, Manitoba, Canada in 2007 with Polar Bears International's Teen Leadership Camp to view wild Polar Bears and learn about climate change. The entire camp was to teach us how we could make a difference in our communities. We returned as arctic ambassadors - I have given talks to over 1,000 adults, students and children in my city. If interested, you can read the blog I wrote each night here.

I was one of 22 teens chosen to go to the Weather Channel's Forcast Earth Summit in December of 2007, where we learned about all the various threats to the planet, and what we can do. We each did a PSA that aired randomly on the weather channel (mine was about overfishing). These influences have encouraged me to truly become active in environmental conservation. I encourage everyone to be active in fighting climate change, before it's too late.

"You must teach your children that the ground beneath their feet is the ashes of your grandfathers. So that they will respect the land, tell your children that the earth is rich with the lives of our kin.
Teach your children what we have taught our children, that the earth is our mother.
Whatever befalls the earth befalls the sons of the earth.
If men spit upon the ground, they spit upon themselves."

Native American Quote /Chief Seattle/
