R-evolve is certainly one of my favourite songs lyrically. While I don't find any of the Mars songs particularly inspirational I do see that songs can create special meanings and give comfort in certain situations. I can often identify certain songs with key events in my life.

not too certain about inspirational but there are songs that have personal meaning to me and have touched my life and push for certain moods/trances more than others:

a modern myth (the rest are in no particular order but this is my #1 for sure)
r-evolve
search + destroy
year zero
battle of one
end of the beginning
savior
this is war

From Yesterday has been my favourite since I first heard it.

I love the odd drum beat in the verse and the chorus is just brilliant. 30 Seconds to Mars write some of the best anthemic choruses of any contemporary band.

there is never any blasphemy when it comes to the songs of this band...unless of course it comes down to the bad romance cover.

Welcome to the Universe. Holy arpeggio intro, killer anthemic chord progression, fantastic build to chorus, bad ass bass lines, and a direct invitation to become a part of something bigger.

Am I the only one that misses the siren they used to blare before they'd take the stage live? It almost sounds like it's in the recording of Vox populi, but not quite the same. That inspired quite a bit of anxiety in a croweded room.

A siren? Don't think they ever did that for the Euro gigs (which began in 2007). It was always O Fortuna that kicked it off...

A Modern Myth and Alibi are probably my favourite songs. There's one live version of a modern myth that I absolutely love and listen to everyday

Nope, they did it long long before... The last time i recall hearing it was when they opened for Seether.

30's music inspires me in different ways sometimes it's in an artsy way
sometimes a song expresses an emotion I'm feeling that I can't put
into words... Others I turn up and workout to simply because I love
the way it sounds...

Alibi
Kings and Queens
Closer to the Edge
Battle of One
A Beautiful Lie
The Kill
Capricorn
Echelon
Welcome to the Universe

For me it's Buddha For Mary.
First of all because my real name is Mary (hi all   ) and second of all, because I can strongly relate to it.

Welcome to the Universe and A Modern Myth will always be at the top of my list...Closer to the Edge, Savior, 100 Suns, and The Mission are also very inspiring to me

Edit:  And Capricorn!  How could I forget that one!  To me it's just about longing for rebirth and finally deciding to change yourself, because the world won't change for you...a lesson they helped me learn!

Double edit:  And Search and Destroy.  Dammit I need to stop.

What do you think is the most inspirational song by 30 seconds to mars?

I think:
Alibi
search and destroy
the kill
Capricorn

what do you think
mmm...Alibi and The Kill I think are the most inspirational.
Then comes Kings And Queens and Vox Populi,I just feel that these 2 give me a sense of freedom.
:)
