My Belgian ass will be there!

Any of you have any idea what the best option to go from Hamburg to Mannheim the next day is? It's like a 5 hour drive so I guess it's do-able.

Please add Ivy_Burrows to the Roll Call. Won't miss this OpenAir...and it's a good possibility for me to finally see something from the city since traveling there 1 day prior the concert.

@30stKim: Do you plan driving all the way from Hamburg to Mannheim by car? For me the best/fastest option will be taking a flight from HH to Frankfurt and driving rest of the way by car from there to Mannheim. But that's only possible because I'm living near to Frankfurt.

I'll have to look into it, but flights from brussels to hamburg seem to be quite expensive at the moment and then I would have to get from Mannheim to Brussels again. Luckily, I've got some time to figure it out. Driving just seemed like the cheapest option, although it would be a bitch!  :)

That matched my thoughts exactly.

But sure this will be the first 30STM concert in Germany after a long time that won't get sold out (well, that's what I hope  ). I guess maybe they will sell about 15.000-20.000 tickets.

I think the whole 2008 tour together all venue capacities didn't even add up to 80,000   Ah well perhaps they are planning less (20,000 or so) and can expand if neccessary. But yeah huge gig potential. Then I think of Batschkapp last June with 600 people capacity *sigh*

Größenwahnsinnig  ;)  I know but I´m sure you can scale it down to maybe 20.000 or less.  :P

yeah, 20.000 seems more like it. I think i read that somewhere in the PDF or so that they actually have a 20.000 people capacity for the concert area ;) So maybe 80.000 for the whole place??

I still think the City Park would've been enough (4000 people capacity) :P

Yep, Stadtpark would´ve been enough but Trabrennbahn is more flexible.

Oh, I'm already in the roll call, thanks   .

It's my first time in Hamburg and I'm very much looking forward to it  ;) . I really would like to have a "smaller" location again for a show but I'll take this one as well  :D .

hey all, you can add me to the roll call aswell! tahnks! i don´t think that gig will sell out either... and yet i don´t hope for that to happen ;-) but still looking forward to that! :-) haven´t been to an open air for quite a while (except for a festival last year)... so i hope it´s not going to rain ;-) but at least, it´s august and supposed to be comfortable temperatures... ;-)

check brusselsair.be - they do offer really cheap flights to hamburg. Sometimes it's cheaper to book a rwo-way flight and the just don't use the return.

From hamburg to mannheim ist the train the cheapest and easiest way. check www.bahn.de

I'm travelling around a lot in germany and europe - so don't hesitate to ask. Oh - and btw - I'm from hamburg :-D

Cheers
