So iv read a lot of posts from various people since my time here on the forum. And i think this is a good topic starter. So if you're a newbie or an established member of the forum, What do the songs by 30stm mean to you?
What do you think is their inspiration for writing the songs in the first place and what do they mean to you. What do you think the songs are about. Do you think that they were written because of a lifetime event that happened? If so let us know your thoughts and views. Even if you have spoken to the band about this previously, and possibly know the answer or it's just your personal view. I'd really be interested to know you thought/feelings/views on the subject.
This is more a personal opinion than factual.
What are you're favourite songs by the band and what do you think is the moral behind the lyrics?

There can be no wrong answer in this topic as most is down to personal opinion. And it'd be fun to discuss that you think the songs could mean or even what they're about, or what they mean to you as a person.
Look forward to seeing your posts.

To say it in a way that's not as bitchy as fusions, There are some other threads like this, (well, only one that i can remember, but guess there's more.) Next time you make a new thread, try to use the search button, to stop fusion being even more of an ass. wink.gif (guess this will get merged?)

It's not so much that you pissed anyone off, just that you started a new thread about a topic that has been discussed endlessly in one way or another. Honestly, it's one of those topics that can be hard to search because there are many different ways to word it. I can't even remember the title of any threads I've seen that address this issue but if you take a nice long stroll through the Pantheon forum, you'll probably find one fairly soon... smile.gif. If the mods find it before you do, they'll just merge and bump it for you.

Well to be honest. All songs have meaning behind them aswell as inspirations. I looked at other people views and what they think the songs are about and there are a lot of different opinions about what the band are trying to get across. For example a lot of people thought tht Echelon was about war and politics.
They took a few lines and justified their view of the song which i thought was kinda cool. They also gave some memories of when they had heard the song. For instance when i hear from yesterday it reminds me of how me and my boyfriend met. I have no idea why because it wasnt even playing when we met. And we've been together for three years and still going strong. I think it's the power of the lyrics personally.

But a lot of people think tht from yesterday is about the life of a soldier.
"On a mountain he sits, its not of gold but of shit
through the blood he can look, see the lives that he took
From a count to the one
He'll decide when he's done with the innocent"
But again people aswell as websites cannot be sure of what the lyrics actually are lol.

I listened to a lot of 30 seconds to mars throughout my relationship, so they remind me of really good times spent with my boyfriend aswell as friends. From yesterday reminds me of friends. And the Kill reminded me to be stronger for the sake of my family. It meant a lot to me as i felt i could relate to the song.
What about all of you?

In my opinion From Yesterday is sarcastic disdainful song about God. But as I said, it is only my interpretation, I don't impose it.

This is not a bad thread. Of all the ones that have been rehashed, at least this one can provide some inspiration or insight. Without going into a long diatribe about what each song means to me, I will say that it appeals to me on several levels. There are many thoughts, emotions and ideals in the songs that I relate to.

Yeh but thts the best thing about opinions. You can say what you want. I was really interested in other peoples views bout the songs that 30stm produce and what their ideas were on the lyrics. smile.gif

Thats cool. As i said in a previous post i relate more to the kill song, than any of the others tht they have come up with. But i do Like attack too. A lot of their songs also flair up a lot of emotion depending on what mood you are in. And thts one of the things about 30stm i dont get tht with many artists. smile.gif smile.gif
