I got in the venue around 6:30pm and got a barrier position right in front of the legendary Tomo. LostAlone were the first support band, they were okay. Almost straight after, Street Drum Corps took to the stage. Amazing. First time seeing these guys live and was totally blown away. Before LostAlone came on, I saw Adam and Bobby on stage. So I shouted them. Bobby replied with hi, how are ya? And I asked Adam when the new album is out, he replied 'spring'.
Mars used the curtain drop to start. Escape sounded KILLER, Shannon destroys it. Curtain drops on start of Summit vocals 'THIS IS WAR'. Night of the Hunter was immense. Jared hit some of those impossible-for-a-male notes too.
Vox Populi worked suprisingly well. Search and Destroy was epic. Closer to the Edge was 'fuck yeah'.
KINGS AND QUEENS. Jared called around 30 people onstage, me being one of them. I tried to tell J something (play Hurricane at Wembley) but he couldn't hear me, so he pulled me up onto the stage. He then told everyone what I said to him, and asked for my name. Then, 'give it up for Alexander'. Pretty fucking amazing. Then, I get my moment with Tomo
T "I love you man!"
A "I love ya too!"
T "You'll get your song"
A "Fuck yeee, thanks bro"
Then I was lined up on a raised platform near the back of the stage, with everyone else joining me shortly after. I was to the right Of Adam Alt. Talked to him whilst the intro of K+Q was being played. Great guy. Then it kicked in. I WAS ON STAGE!!
Near the end of the second verse, some total asshole threw a shoe at Jared (a slip on black VANS, size 8)
