In 30STM songs, there is a lot of reference to faith, philosophy and religion. Why do you always make reference to that and what exactly do you have faith in (other than each other)?

Jared and Shannon, is your family all american or is there some european blood in you?

What culture inspires you the most?

Shannon, how many years have you been playing the drums because you are so great at it?

Jared, you said your first "love" was painting, do you still paint or is it just actor/musician/writer/director?

I'm not answering for them, but you'd be pretty hardpressed to find someone who is white and living in Canada or the US who didn't have European blood in them, even though we all fall under the nationality "Canadian" or "American"... White people didn't just pop up all over North America from nowhere, you dig? White people originated from Europe, so yeah, I assume they have 'European blood' in there somewhere.

I've got a couple of questions:

Q: I'm a big movie fan, yet there are some movies whose soundtracks just don't work for me. Prime example; 'Ladyhawke'. Great story, imaginative, beautifully filmed - but the Andrew Powell / Alan Parsons Project soundtrack was a complete fail for me. If I was able to, I'd re-score that sucker in a heartbeat. If you could choose a contemporary movie to hypothetically re-write the score/soundtrack, what would it be and what approach would you take?

Q for Shannon: The drums on 'Stranger In A Strange Land' are incredible, massive and visceral. The only other Mars track in which the drums effect me similarly is 'Battle Of One'. What did you do differently when writing/recording the drums for SIASL?

Hi there !

This is my first post, so hello everyone.

I joined this forum first because I'm a big fan of 30 STM (really ??) but also to have answers to my questions if it's possible.

I'd like to know if you guys are going to be part of some french TV Shows before Bercy in Paris, like "le Grand Journal" that Jared did once or "Taratata" which a great, cozy and intimist music show, with good and famous artists that come here to promote their talent, but also to perform in live 2 or 3 songs.

I already listened to the radio you did (NRJ and Oui FM) but I really want to see you guys on TV.

If somebody knows the answer, thx, and I wish a happy new year to everyone in here !!
