so (mostly) everyone is aware of the awesome treasure hunts 30 has going on around in major cities, but there's no discussion thread about them. there's a flurry on twitter which is pretty awesome/amusing to see, people helping others even if it proves successful or not.

even though the tweets are posted in the twitter thread, let's get this thread started with the latest hunt in new york. this one looks even more challenging than the last sets in california. well, unless you live there and are totally familiar, haha.

i am literally 12 minutes away (walking) from one of the NYC spots but cant leave my office. omg as if i needed any more reasons to hate my fucking job...... mad.gif

i wish i could! you dont understand how being SO CLOSE right now is itching me so bad! lol i've already tried thinking of reasons to leave, like taking a lunch since i never take lunch, but we leave "early" on fridays (4pm) so they 'discourage' lunch breaks on fridays (even though its a 7 hour work day rolleyes.gif ). and the girl who'd cover my desk is in a meeting.... ITCHING ME I TELL YOU! lol. (oh how i hate this place)

That's why, if they do one in Pittsburgh, I'll be glad that it's on a Friday. That's when I work my "big girl" job (as opposed to my internship the rest of the week) and I'll actually have no problem getting out to do a hunt.

dude! i work at an outdoor media company (billboards) on wall street! the way they treat us is insane!!! but i lost cares. once the other chick is out of the meeting, if the hunt thing wasnt found yet, im leaving, 'for lunch' and will WAIT for them to tell me i cant. as long as she can cover my desk, im fucking leaving. i NEVER take a lunch break and i work 9 hours a day mon-thurs. i hate this place.

so bryan. question. once it is found, is it posted right away? this way i dont cause a scene and leave for no reason? lol wink.gif

Tell your boss that there is a family crisis... I.e echelon family crisis lol.

Or tell your boss that you need to take a break- all this pressure from work is really causing you stress!

Or tell your boss that you left something really important relating to work at home and you need it now... Perhaps 'forget' your wallet... I mean, how will you get food, coffee, or whatever else is needed... And you never know when somebody from the secret forces will randomly rock up at your offices! Lol
