Twitter We started a hash tag for anything related to the show on twitter. It's #30corollcall. Let's get the word out!
Day of Show stuff
Weather here is unpredictable. Just ask our weathermen.
Food: There's a Wendy's, Pizza Hut, and Good Times within walking distance as well as a 7-Eleven.
If you are coming from out of state, remember we are called the Mile High city for a reason. We are literally a mile above sea level. The altitude will affect you if you are not used to it. Drink lots of water and keeps some snacks with ya. It'll help. If you start feeling light headed or nauseous sit down and rest. You don't want to get altitude sickness.
I think people are planning to show up sometime between 12 and 2. Not sure of what kind of promotion we'll be doing.
Hotels
Used Hotels.com search site and the Ogden as a landmark, their search came up with some decent hotels. The closest to the Ogden is the Ramada, or the Rock 'n' Roll Ramada, or so I've been told. LOL Bands tend to stay there if they don't have to be on the road right after the show. I'm not sure how nice it is seeing as how I've never stayed there, but it's an option if you don't want to go too far.
Anything that says downtown is about a mile to the west of the venue. Most of the hotels are really nice so I wouldn't worry to much about picking one.
Transportation
Cabs are available to take you to the venue. And I would highly recommend using them to get back to the hotel.
These are the most common cab companies in the area
Metro Taxi (303) 333-3333
Yellow Cab (303) 777-7777
Freedom Cab (303) 292-8900
Depending on where you stay downtown, it's about a mile to 2 mile walk to the venue. There are buses that go right by and you can map the routes by going to RTD's website.
I'd post a things to do in Denver section but I think most people would be passing through. But let me know.
