Hello,
Can I ask who owns the copyright to the artwork on "This is War"? Specifically the image of the tiger with the band's name and the title of the album across its eyes?
I'd like to post it to my profile on FB and would like to know if I can get permission to do so.
Thanks for any help with this.

First of all - big hugs to you from a writer/editor for actually caring about copyright.
Anyhow... I don't have an actual answer, but... someone in the cover art thread said they found the image on a google image search. (Band having an un-creative moment?) I just glanced quickly, but I did see some that are really similar. I think it may be one of those & just split & mirrored. So, that would be something to check out. Combining it with the title strip would be where you'd run into copyright issues, but you might be okay with it on something like Facebook. I think bands & such don't care a ton if people use images on myspace or whatever, as long as you aren't profiting from it or claiming it as your own. Not sure where you'd find the official copyright info without the physical CD, though.
Hope that helps a bit. And keep in mind I'm not actually a copyright attorney or anything - just have had to learn bits & pieces for work-related stuff. So, don't quote me on any of this.

Most people are totally unaware or indifferent about that stuff.

Thank you for the advice RR. I'll try to find the image through google (without the band's name on it) and use that if successful.
