Now I have there lyrics. Can you say do all this words right? Thnx
"Kings & Queens"
Into the night
Desperate and broken
The sound of a fight
Father has spoken
Ohhhhh Ohhhhh Ohhhhh (x4)
We were the Kings and Queens of promise
We were the VICTIMS of ourselves (or: phantoms, or vessels, or what?)
Maybe the Children of a Lesser God
Between Heaven and Hell
Heaven and Hell
Into your eyes (or: Into your lies?)
Hopeless and Taken
We stole our new lives
Through blood and pain (or: through blood .... what is next? is it right? Or: through blood lane?)
In defense of our dreams
In defense of our dreams
We were the Kings and Queens of promise
We were the VICTIMS of ourselves
Maybe the Children of a Lesser God
Between Heaven and Hell
Heaven and Hell
The age of man is over
A darkness comes AT DAWN (or: at all?)
These lessons that we learned here
Have only just begun
We were the Kings and Queens of promise
We were the victims of ourselves
Maybe the Children of a Lesser God
Between Heaven and Hell
We are the Kings
We are the Queens
We are the Kïngs
We are the Queens
Ohhhhh Ohhhhh Ohhhhh (x4)
Who is englishspeaking-man, please answer, it's really serious)

Into your eyes (or: Into your lies?)
A darkness comes AT DAWN (or: at all?)
The rest is what I hear too
I think it's VICTIMS
I hear LIES
A darkness comes AND ALL
Just my 2 cents
And don't feel bad I speak english as my first language and I'm not really sure about these parts either

We were the victims of ourselves
Into your lies ( definitely hear an L at the beginning of the word )
Trough blood lane ( Blood lane is actually a name for a battle field during the Civil War where enormous casualties were suffered and could tie in with Hopeless and Taken, We stole our new lives and the This is War title.
Also mainly cause the "marching" type style of Shannon's drums during the song reminds me of the battlefield movies of that era, when drums were used that way to encourage troops to keep a steady pace to walk into the field of battle..

A darkness comes at dawn is what I hear..

Don't hear vessels/phantoms, but victims of ourselves
Also, I don't hear 'Through blood and pain'. It sounds like ' through blood lane' but it could be something else too...
A darkness comes and all...

A bit off-topic, but the drumming right around the "There is a fight" part made me think of patterns you hear on bodrahn in some old Celtic music.
(Wiki: There is evidence that during the Irish rebellion of 1603 (Tyrone's rebellion) the bodhrán was used by the Irish forces as a battle drum, or that the drum provided a cadence for the pipers and warriors to keep to, as well as to announce the arrival of the army. This leads some to think that the bodhrán was derived from an old Celtic war drum.)
Just thought it was neat to hear that little cultural influence, whether it was intentional or not.

Thanks, I hadn't thought of that yet. Cool that we relate the same way to hearing patterns in terms of what Shannon would be bringing across in the song, but still connect it to another Era
And yes I can't wait to hear more influences ( drum wise ) from other cultures on the album, specially the Taiko bit.
