Atlas Shrugged debuted on The New York Times Bestseller List at #6 three days after its publication date. It remained on the list for 21 weeks, peaking at #4 for a six-week period beginning December 8, 1957. Atlas Shrugged was generally disliked by critics, despite being a popular success.
Movie of the Week
Empire of the Sun tells the story of Jamie \"Jim\" Graham, a young boy who goes from living in a wealthy British family in Shanghai, to becoming a prisoner of war in Lunghua Civilian Assembly Center, a Japanese internment camp, during World War II. Steven Spielberg directed the film, which stars Christian Bale, John Malkovich, Miranda Richardson and Nigel Havers.
