This Week - 09/23/2009

This is the first edition of a new weekly newsletter that will arrive every Wednesday with EXCLUSIVE information and content.  Each week this newsletter will include exclusive band photos, new videos, recommendations from the band, links to interesting destinations, up to date information about events surrounding the upcoming album release, and more.

Book of the Week

Atlas Shrugged debuted on The New York Times Bestseller List at #6 three days after its publication date. It remained on the list for 21 weeks, peaking at #4 for a six-week period beginning December 8, 1957.  Atlas Shrugged was generally disliked by critics, despite being a popular success.

Movie of the Week

Empire of the Sun tells the story of Jamie \"Jim\" Graham, a young boy who goes from living in a wealthy British family in Shanghai, to becoming a prisoner of war in Lunghua Civilian Assembly Center, a Japanese internment camp, during World War II.  Steven Spielberg directed the film, which stars Christian Bale, John Malkovich, Miranda Richardson and Nigel Havers.

i just read mine. smile.gif its so great that the band are doing this for us, on top of everything, and a clever way for them to keep us updated that has a bit of a personal touch too. the promotional video for the album looked very cool.

Do I get any kind of credit for having liked this movie since its release in 1987?  Glad they've finally discovered this gem, though.

I'll just repeat my "Fuck. Yes." from the other thread.  It may have been 'yeah' though.  Either way, there was a fuck in there.   Ha.

Seen the movie - but have it on Netflix to see again

Currently, there is no way to edit preferences for email recipients. If you receive it incorrectly, you  may have to make another email address until further notice.
