Hello. smile.gif

I am posting this for my niece Corrie who is the one that sparked the idea of doing this and has enlisted us (her family/friends) to spread the word about this event and participate with her. I told her I would post this here for her.

The site is very busy and kind of hard to navigate around. I will provide some direct links to pages so that you can get the information about the movement and the Rescue event

Invisible children Main page
http://www.invisiblechildren.com/home.php

Invisible Children is an organization created to help spread the awareness of children being abducted and forced to fight in a rebel war in northern Uganda.

History of the War:

Who they are. About the founders:
http://www.invisiblechildren.com/about/whoWeAre/

...In the spring of 2003, three young filmmakers traveled to Africa in search of a story. What started out as a filmmaking adventure transformed into much more when these boys from Southern California discovered a tragedy that disgusted and inspired them, a tragedy where children are both the weapons and the victims.

In any event group of us Echelon in Houston that are not able to make The Summit have decided to participate in this Invisible Children event called "The Rescue" that is happening this Saturday March 25 in cities in America and around the world. I think that the invisible children organization is so great, the best thing is that they are REALLY making something and not just promising what they want to do!!

Exactly, they seems to get resolves. Not talk about what they could do, but what they can do. And they do it

i think that most of the times celebs are the ones who make us notice about one or more associations like this one, but getting passioned about it it's much better than just saying you'll do something like some do!

Not meaning to intentionally bump and old thread but I think this one is important.

My son is directly involved with this organization here in Arizona. There is a meeting of some sort every month.

Great organization and while the site is a bit cumbersome well worth it.

toodles

Its not just in Uganda that this horrible situation is occurring.
Many countries in Africa use children as pawns in their wars.

However the atrocities that the children of northern Uganda are facing due to the acts of the LRA is appalling.

For those of you who do not know... please look up the LRA.

This is a cause worth fighting for!

Ok im just making a thread here just to make a statement saying that the invisible shield can scratch. I got the full body shield and for some reason just the front of the invisible shield got scratched, not the back. I didnt think it would but it did. So i called up and thank goodness they have a lifetime warranty. The guy i talked to said that it can get scratched and that the screen has a adhesive so it should repair itself in a couple of days. Well my didnt and so i had to order a new one. JUST LETTING YOU ALL KNOW THAT IT CAN GET SCRATCHED.

If it does scratched when you receive your new invisible shield make sure you send them your old one back. IF YOU DONT YOUR WARRANTY WILL BE VOIDED.
