Yes this is a serious question.

I know that you had hopes that this album would get back to what brought you to this band in the first place. I hope that you are not disappointed. You and I have different musical tastes ffor the most part, but I respect you for liking what you like and not being affraid to say so.
I am curious...Maybe Kanye has stepped out of his comfort zone and crossed over on this song to a new genre for him.
How is the new papa to be doing these days?

What on earth can Kanye bring to the album? He's not the type of musical "artist" that could have anything to contribute to a record that actually may mean something.
If I'm wrong and the song is great, then I'll admit it, but I really don't have high hopes for it.

Wow, good argument, you really got me!
The man called himself the "voice of the entire generation" and refused to work with MTV because they didn't give him album of the year (he later did work with them, showing he also has no integrity). After South Park ripped him a new asshole, he even admitted to having a massive ego.
In short, he's a prick, he isn't talented, and I'll never even understand how the hell he became famous. Using other peoples songs and then using a computerized voice!? AMAZING!

Yeah, well, at least HE admits to it...

Like I've said before I'm rather neutral when it comes to Kanye, I am not a fan at all. Now, I can't really tell though what this collaboration will be about and how effective, or captivating will be. I too reserve a right be skeptical for now, at the very least, until we get to hear more.

I personally own NOTHING by Kanye and I do find him obnoxious, but I don't view Jared as a pushoever and he may need a big name or two on his album to get it into more peoples iPods. Remember, this band has no lable backing at all. They are doing it all on their own and if this is a scatch my back, I'll scratch yours thing, so be it.

Oh, and you think he couldn't try something new? His last album wasn't exactly hip hop.

Did you really just compare Kanye West to Muhammad Ali?
#17

Yes. At that time, he was not a historical figure. I was speaking about the perception at that time.

Except he was undoubtedly the best of his time. Ali had a huge ego, sure. But his track record at the time proved that he was the best. With music, it's much different. You can't have a clear 'winner' and there will always be much more debate. It's not like Kanye can fight whoever he's challenging. It's just meaningless and stupid.

Cassius Clay knocked out Sonny Liston in what was it? 40 seconds? Kanye West has had how many? 4 platinum selling albums? Both are black, public figures, notable for being unique in their occupation, and have/had egos that could match each other, they both love talking shit. That comparison is really not that far fetched.
