The international polar year is a project that is hold in two years period. rolleyes.gif

What shall we do this last days?
What have been your experience through it?
Have you done someting for the Polar this years?

50 000 researcher and technician from 63 different countrys have taking a part off it, which make this the worlds biggest researchereffort cooperation.

"The polar areas have many unique phenomena. Circulatory systems for air and water reach the surface, as do the majority of the Earth's magnetic field lines. Thick glaciers have trapped air and water from ancient times. It is easiest to observe these phenomena near the poles."

Um, what? Are you saying we should travel to the poles? Because that'd be a shitty vacation.

No, im just saying that this polar year have gone to its end this time. And that they have working alot around how to save it, and that they want people to notice the fact that its under threat, because of the global warming.
(but I guess that you have seen the music video "A beatiful lie" and anderstand that its pretty much the same 30stm want us to notice, that the artic is smelting)

Btw, I think it would be a great vacation. I have some relatives living there.

Not stupid at all.
As I wrote before is it when researcher give all thier time to study the poles (such as arctic) and how we can save it from the global warming.
Yes, it has someting to do withe the polarbears too, absolutely. Because they live there and because of the global warming thier ice(home) is smelting away, and they have got it harder to hunt food. Their fate is hand in hand with the polar/artic.

Greenland is smelting VERY fast:

But I guess you alredy know that rolleyes.gif

(Sorry if someting is hard to anderstand, im not so good at english/grammar)

^ Very ashamed!

It frustrated to talk with people who dont care about this. Some who have the argument like this: " Im not gonna chance, I think this was gonna happen anyway, we have like nothing to do with it". blink.gif dry.gif huh.gif

How can people just say something like that? Have they lived under a rock or something....nah...
They who think so, is the hardest to inform about the realety. sad.gif

I know this is off topic, but I dindt know if this was importent enough to have a own thread. And I guess the most of you have seen this show. If not, watch it!! This is one of my favourite shows ever wub.gif

It shows us exactly what we are fighting foor, and what we will lose if we dont act against the global warming.
I love the way they filmed this, and how great the music fits! Lovley.

Obs. Its from youtube.
