Thank you so much for starting this topic!
I just watched the movie and it left quite mixed feelings; anger, sadness, frustration and pity but also hopefulness, thankfulness and respect.
It brakes my heart to see all those million of people who got to left their homes 'cause of the dams and who are so poor that they can't drink fresh water 'cause of some greedy water supplier.
But they fight! They are sick of being treated like animals! They deserve better!
I believe 100% that if you exploit other people or the earth, you will pay. If not in this life, then in the next one. You will be the one who gets exploited.
1854 the American Indian Chief of Seattle replies to an offer from the government of the US to "buy" a large area of Indian land:
"How can you buy or sell the sky?
The warmth of the land?
The idea is strange to us.
If we do not own the freshness of the air
and the sparkle of the water
how can you buy them?
We don't own them.
Every part of this earth is sacred to my people.
Every shining pine needle
every sandy shore.
Every mist in the dark woods
every humming insect
is holy in the memory
and experience of my people.
This beautiful earth is the mother
of the Red Man.
We are part of the earth
and it is part of us.
The rivers are our brothers.
We give the rivers the kindness
we would give to any brother.
But the white man does not understand our ways.
He is a stranger
who takes from the land whatever he needs.
The earth is not his brother but his enemy.
And when he has conquered it, he moves on.
He kidnaps the earth from his children.
And he does not care.
I do not know.
Our ways are different from your ways."

This sounds like an interesting film - is there anywhere I can watch it online?
The information given in the website seems to be a little conflicting - millions of people without access to clean water which is bad but then people getting clean water which apparently is also bad?? Of course I need to see the film before I can comment properly....

I think with clean water they mean bottled water that are being sold as "mountain water" or whatever. But it's actually a tap water and bottled water isn't more clean than tap water, it's other way around.
EDIT. You can watch it here: http://grab-videos.com/flow-for-love-of-wa...h-movie-online/

It's the way they are getting clean water. Corporations are approaching governments, asking them to privatize water delivery so they can go into communities and create infrastructure to deliver water and sewer utilities. Problem is the communities that they go into are too poor to pay for the services, so they end up drinking the untreated water anyway. These companies get money from governments and end up having complete control over water resources.
I'm not sure if you can watch the full movie online. try to rent it if you can.
And sign the petition to add the right to water to the Charter of Human Rights.
