I know I haven't been too busy in this forum lately, mostly because I have opened Pandora's box and her terrors have effected me, but I want the help of the American Echelon on this one.

Because I am Canadian, I couldn't participate, but I know that there are people here that will send that fucking bitch a message. Send it good and hard people, because hunting wolves out of planes makes me cry. It should make us all cry.

Arial Wolf Killing in Alaska

You want to kill a wolf, you chicken shit motherfuckers? Do it eye to eye, tooth to tooth.

No? Not gonna?

Yah, that's what I thought.

I hated seeing this to, Davida.
It totally pissed me off to no end when I saw the video footage today. I can understand that they are trying to control the carabou population but this isn't the way. Can't they like trap them and move them or something? That footage that I saw on The View today was just wrong. They are shot in the back from helicopters and left to suffer a miserable and painful death.
The woolves deserve to be protected to. It's the way nature intended it to be that they kill for survival.

The cruel attacks on such an amazingly beautiful animal IS ALL WRONG.

there was a spoof about this on snl i think w/ her talking about hunting something from a hang glider. jokes aside, this is terrible. im not a "peta freak" by any standard, but i am 100% against sport hunting. ok, if youre gonna eat it & use the fur for clothes, then i get it. but not for just fur or just fun. sick bastards. and unless there isnt a food store for 100 miles, i really dont see why you need to be hunting for food in the first place.

I hate hunting period. I used to live in Scottsdale, AZ and they used a variety of different things to control the coyotes
trapping , animal control caught them and released them away from populated areas. In some of the rural areas though
they allowed hunting like that. It made me sick. I freaked out the first time I saw a huge sign on a wide open road that said
"Watch out for stray gunfire"

Eh, personally I don't see this as being such a horrible thing. I am, for all intents and purposes, a conservationist. At the same time, I'm a fucking redneck and sport hunting is a god damned blast.

I'm not a fan of the aerial hunting shit, though. That's even worse than those bitch-ass guided hunts. As far as I'm concerned, the practice should end. Not the hunting of wolves altogether (unless their populations in the area become threatened), but the aerial hunting. It is simply uncalled for.

I agree that this way of hunting should be stopped....I did not watch the video..I can only imagine what it looks like by the reactions in here.
And as for Palin, I hope she will never get elected for more then what is already doing/ destroying now!

Not a fan of ant type of hunting, so will leave my comments out of it, to each their own..
I do however agree with you on certain ways of hunting that should be banished. Hunting in a controlled way to keep the population healthy is another thing. It prevents diseases from spreading and having a huge pack growing and creating inbreed that way. That should be the only way of hunting imo, but like I said to all their own.

This is not as easy as you think it would be to do.
First of all wolfs are very territorial, therefore travel in packs that have an established order of ranks. Their territory is about 200 km2, they spent most of their time in a 35 km core zone and only travel outside the territory in case of extreme hunger or danger like fires and tend to avoid that because of encountering neighboring packs that will usually end up in terrible fights losing lots of lives.
Once a pack has established itself, it is almost impossible to introduce new wolfs, with one study on wolf mortality in Minnesota and the Denali National Park and Preserve concluding that 14–65% of wolf deaths were due to predation by other wolves. In fact, 91% of wolf fatalities occur within 3.2km of the borders between neighboring territories. Therefore the only way of re homing a new pack of wolfs would have to be done in a spot where there are almost no wolfs around..very hard logistically.

I've always loved wolves. When i was 13 i read a book about white wolf and I cried so much. My mum looked me like I was crazy or something. Wolf is my totem animal and everytime I see a document about them, I cry.

There are lots of wolves here but they are centerd to eastern Finland and people are afraid of them. And then they kill them without a permission. That sucks!

I watched this video and it made me so hot under the collar. What a bunch of cowards! I don't like hunting unless it's for a good reason (ie disease in the population), but this...this...hunting from a chopper. C'mon...

Wolves are one of my favourite wild creatures and it sickens me to see this type of crap...
