These are some extemely comfortable canvas shoes (or boots, though I've not tried them out!). They are made in China, yes. But in highly supervised and regulated factories. The best thing about Toms is that they're not a charity, however ever pair of shoes purchased guarantees a pair given to a child without shoes in a 3rd world country. Past shoe drops include Argentina, South Africa and the next one is in Ethiopia.

A simple act, you buy shoes that you need, a child without shoes can have a pair. This is a for profit company trying to make a difference in their world. Here's the Link:

This is to good, i'd like to buy a pair but i can't pay them right now. Thanks for the link. As soon as it's possible to me i'll tell my dad to buy me a pair.

When I finish school I'm seriously thinking about a sustainable only company or a company like this... making a turnover yet doing something good to make a difference.

The whole idea is using what you have to make the world a better place. One step at a time. Just like 30STM used their influence and video to promote awareness of global warming, use the tools you have. ;o)

Awww, yeah. We thought we knew the meaning of comfort, but TOMS' Canvas slip-on schooled us. Its cool, casual upper has an elastic inset at the vamp and darts at the toe to add wearing ease to its padded footbed and cushioning rubber outsole. It'll be your new favorite.
