Is the grass is always greener on the other side? How eco-green can a lawn really be if it's soaked in chemical pesticides in pursuit of the perfect yard? Sara looks at healthier ways to get & stay connected to the plot of land outside your front door.

She has a lot of good ideas to go green. This family in California grows 3,000 lbs of vegetables and food in their own backyard. they heat thier food outside with a stove powered by recycled wood, and they make their own fuel using some vegetable oil along with some gasoline that saves them about 5 gallons every time they need gas. they save most of their money by growing their food in their own backyard. Watch this show its amazing.

My grandmother does this already, we have parsley leaves growing in the backyard to season food with and a tomato garden as well. smile.gif
