Before you all think we are lunatics and really believe in everything the band says: we dont believe they are going to keep the promise, but we are making sure they do, just in case
The truth is, a portuguese guitar has the most amazing sound and it would be amazing to listen to it on the album, in my oppinion. And it is okay to dream, right?
If you never heard a portuguese guitar being played before, here is a link for you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwhV1ivYNsQ

your logic is idiotic.
90% of the posts i make are to people i actually enjoy talking to on here.
the other 10% are in threads like this where newbies think people care what they say on here.

and i don't give a shit about you calling me a newbie, i know what i'm doing here, why i am here, how long i am going to be here. and i don't post that much, you know why? i usually (it seems that today is NOT one of those days) don't care about stupid people making stupid comments about people they don't even know, just to pretend they are someone important.
you don't like newbies? add to your black list then. I don't give a shit about being known here, you do.

And your question has already been asked, it really didn't need a new thread. Thanks Dani for the explanation of the guitar.

Merely to welcome them and thank them for visiting their country.
We Euro's are fucked up that way. Giving a present that is typical for the culture in that land.
The Portuguese guitar is such a thing. Maybe the name also gives a hint.
And, they actually explained to the band how the guitar should be played and also gave the nails needed to play the instrument.
So the gift givers were well aware of the difference in how to play a regular guitar versus a Portuguese one.

In that case, kudos! Still weird but at least you're making the world safer for Portuguese guitars, one band at a time!
