if you're looking for more good britpop, then try black box recorder
i would suggest ANNIE, but she's more electronic based than ms. allen

Jer, baby, Lily is not Reggae. Shes been known 'round these here parts for a while already, and truthfully, she doesnt really have a good voice. I'm suprised shes lasted three singles, actually.
I'm guessing America just got hit with 'Smile' , huh ? Meh, you'll get sick of it soon enough.

i saw her live a few months ago...so cute and fun...i personally love it...a girl after my own heart.
and as for suggestions, yeah, annie's good, but the other closest artist i can think of is amy winehouse, just because they have the same mouth...dirty.

I love electronics too, Dan. It's not like I claim to listen to everything but country and rap as a cover to say I only listen to Pop.

She's reggae pop, or at least inspired by reggae. I never claimed she was straight reggae. I don't mind her voice so much, I like her lyrics. Smile's been out for a while but I torrented her cd and liked a few other songs (Knock Em Out is lovely) and I had seen the video for Alfie too. Plus, she looks like .g l a s s. and glass is awesome. Protip: I don't get sick of artists unless I play them out, I don't watch tv or listen to the radio for music. I can understand how you'd be sick of her, though.
@Joy, I'll check out Amy Whinybitch too.
@angeles, I hate some of the artists you've listed, and haven't heard of some of the others. Neutral as far as frou frou goes. I have stereophonics in my torrent folder waiting to be listened to, so I'll probably start there.

then i would suggest ANNIE and the bird and the bee( they opened up for lily allen on her N.A. tour that ended up getting cancelled)
ANNIE - Chewing Gum
The bird and the bee - again and again

oasis, meh
keane, coldplay (i.e. bands that make the same song over and over)
gorillaz aren't exactly my favourite band, but I don't hate them and could stand listening to them if someone else was
not fond of robbie williams, I am a guy regardless of my sexuality

I already found an annie torrent, but there's only one seed. It'll take a while. I'm not really feeling that video, but I'll get the cd anyway. The bird and the bee song was better.
Is it just me or does it look like Amy was once Amir?

The beauty of quirky music like hers, is that Australian radio avoids it to no end. Makes it a little harder to discover said music, but at least I don't get sick of hearing it
