I humbly Plead for help from an oldtimer. This maybe around somewhere but when did the glyphs as we see them now first appear. I think that there is an older set and then the second set in the first alblum. When did Jared and Shannon's tattoos appear? Thanks.

BUMP

I believe that Jared designed them before the S/T album was released...

I'm not positive, though.

What about a set of glyphs that initially appeared on the original web site. That always confused me. I think ther is mention of them in the newbie thread...It would be nice if we could get a pic of Jared with the glyph tat and with out and try and date it that way. he never really exposes it though.

Wow your in Florida! Do I know you from concerts?

you mean the ones that are inside the s/t cover? I'm pretty sure they mean 30 Seconds to Mars also, and they're just as old, I think...

i noticed that the first in the series of 4 that looks like two 3's or E's has a 3 an S a T and an M so that alone stands for 30 seconds to mars

Isn't Rothalion asking when they appeared but not what they mean?

I'm curious too.

maybe it's a question best answered by the band themselves.

although i hardly think they'll give us a straight answer.

if someone finds out, post here...i'm a curious cat meself.

Teach me to reply before reading the rest of the thread. laugh.gif I do Choy Lei Fut / Lama Pai with a dash of Krav Maga once in a while. I like Choy Lei Fut because it's long range and because the animal styles like Crane suit my lankiness (read: long, awkward limbs.) But Hung Gar is great, too! It's supposed to be better for closer range, like if you're fighting in a crowded city. smile.gif

Sorry about your school. Which was it? Mine's Lyk Whan Ji, the Green Cloud Temple lineage from Toisan, brought here by Sigung Chan Tai San.

Im in florida, not much of a Kung Fu/martial arts spot. My school was a system a mix of Hung Gar, and Southern mantis. Not the path I would take but that is all I had. It was taken over by Tae Kwan Do folks and things just got too weird. The kendo is awsome horribley difficult, but I think Hung Gar is my real love. My choices now would be Wah lum and Pai Lum neither of which inertest me for various reasons. We should start a martial arts thread. More folks must train. I can train Krav Maga but its an hour and a half drive and my Kendo Sensei probaly would not consent to it. Sorry to jump thread topics but this is why we have the boards...to bring folks together.

Yes! and thank you. I think when is importent to figuring the what. Gives us a bit of a psychological edge on our analysis of the writting. A bit more biographical and thats a hard thing too get when deconstructing and anylizing writing.

I agree.

Okay, lets see. From the interviews that I remember... they often said that all the concepts were made up before they got the whole band going. Just like they always say that 30 Seconds to Mars came about when Jared and Shannon were younger.
That doesn't help... but, its the only thing I can think of at the moment.

I always wonder if its true or was/is it just a gimmick. Those boys are good at pulling bullshit out of their ass.
