Chaos Theory Discuss as to why things are never the same

Alright, this is my attempt at creating a thread for actual discussion. So, let's discuss chaos theory, which states that you can do the same things over and over, but the outcome will always vary, even if it's only a minute variation. I know, this is just a very simple way of describing it.

hmm i got something different out of chaos theory
i got that something as small as a butterfly flapping its wings could change the path of a storm, so on and so forth. i didn't read anything about doing the same thing over and over and getting the same result.

No, I didn't say they would stay the same, lol. I said that you could do the same thing over and over, but you could still get different results.
Like, for example:
You throw a brick up into the air. It lands in one specific spot. You then pick up another brick of the same size/weight/density/etc, and throw it into the air at the same angle, with the same amount of power. Odds are, it's going to land in a different spot than the first brick.
(I know, shitty example, but I'm trying, lol)

I like the idea of the thread but I don't know what we're supposed to discuss. Are we suppose to relate it to real life situations? This forum? Are we supposed to try and prove it wrong? WHAT HAS SCIENCE DONE?

I guess we could discuss how it relates to real life situations, whether you follow the theory or not.
I guess I should have thought this out a little more, lol.

Real life, something I do not mix with the internets. However just for you I will relate it to massage therapy.
You can relieve a minor muscle and loosen up it's tightness and it'll butterfly into the larger ones that it helps support.
Boring, lol.

It's a stupid fucking theory. Sometimes I'm embarrassed that people with PhDs are dumber than I am. They should just hand me a degree and thank me for being born.

Is anyone else thinking about Jurassic Park right now? There's a pretty good example of Chaos Theory in that with the water on the hand thing.
Edit: I didn't read the above, apparently Jurassic Park has been thought of. Quila, you beat me to it.

Please prove it wrong. I want a good read.
