I don't think 30 was eligible because the album came out in 2005. I guess maybe they have had singles released, but I am not sure if that counts or not.
John Mayer got some noms.

You all sound so hypocritical. You want to talk about mainstream, well let's talk about the Billboard Music Awards. That's as mainstream as you can get, but funny how I didn't read too much bitching about those awards. Gee, could it be because 30 WAS nominated for something? But I'm sure if they weren't you wouldn't have been on THAT bandwagon either, right?
I'm just as much of a fan of 30 as the next person, but I don't sit here and bash everything and cry if they don't get recognized in some award show. If they get the props, cool. If not, sure they may have been shafted, but oh well, something for them to work harder on next time.
So now I'll expect to see all of your "fuck you" replies back to me since you've been called out

I'm really going, bye.
don't try to stop me....I'm..slipppp
wait...WHAT is that you say? you are a tard who thought up a really unnecessary big bad comment as response to all of 7 people and really don't have any grounds for such a comment? oh
I don't watch the Grammys or the Oscars....or the BMA's. THEY ARE AND ALWAYS HAVE BEEN FOR the "older" people...imo. When i'm , like...60...then talk shit.(I think it was a Grammy that nora jones won, for that song?)

Yeah that was hilarious. The Grammy's used to be "serious", but since the rise of the Awards Show Industry the Grammys have to compete with thing like The WWE Music Awards (I made that up, but it wouldn't suprise me).

Someone brought up the Grammys and 30 being nominated months ago and I was the first one to say they won't get nominated.
They're too far under the radar for the Grammy commitee to take a moment to get their head out of their asses and notice.
I'm friends with a ton of bands who have been nominated and/or won Grammys (slipknot, mudvayne, shadows fall, etc...) and while I love them all dearly, these are very popular "mainstream" bands.
30, while being favorites of 14 year old girls everywhere, are not nearly close to the calibur of the aforementioned.
In fact, the only person(s) nominated for Grammys who are not in the mainstream are Imogen Heap, Elvis Costello & Allen Toussaint (although that ones debatable because of Elvis Costello) and Goldfrapp, who I am COMPLETELY surprised got 1 nomination let alone multiple nominations.
So why don't you take a moment to get YOUR head out of YOUR ass and realize some of us actually know what we are talking about.
