Thank you so much to everyone who has helped with the various downloads!!!!
In the making of, I laughed so hard after Jared gets philosophical about the video in typical Jared fashion and then he says "that was one of the most pretentious quotes I've given in my life"
I think that the video really showcases the band well. I love the opening of the video when they are in the room getting ready to go on stage, with Shannon playing his drumsticks against the wall, and Jared asks Matt how much time they have and Matt says that they are 6 minutes 27.7 seconds late. *dramatic pause* "Thanks for clearing that up."
And the cinematography is breathtaking. Some of the shots are stunning. And the location ... wow.
But most importantly the video did what I was hoping ... it has given me a new appreciation for the song. I hadn't really liked "The Kill" all that much until I saw the video. I can see us watching the video over and over and over picking up on all of the symbolism and hidden meanings throughout ... but we would be disappointed with anything less.
They really outdid themselves!!
I would add that it was a daring undertaking and I am simply amazed that they were able to pull it off in the midst of everything else that they have had on their plate. Jared rarely takes the easy road, that's for sure
Now for me - the fact that Jared's abs are featured in one scene doesn't phase me in the slightest. A lot of people seem to making a big deal out of a minor element of a huge conceptual video. Just as many people will go crazy over the fact that his eyes look dreamy or whatever else they are going to focus on. Who cares? Actually I think that all of the guys look pretty good in the video - and it seems like they are having fun with their little acting bits
But in my estimation, this video transcends all of that nonsense. It's a work of art. It may not be to everyone's liking - and that's just fine, but I think that the guys should be very proud of what they have created. It was ambitious and will undoubtedly cause quite a stir within the video music world. I am also certain that it will generate an even larger fanbase - and I am happy for them.

Just kidding.
It will be hard to top this, though....
Like I said in the other thread, it is artistically magnificent - a masterpiece.
Can't imagine how much more work it would take, though, to outdo this one....they definitely rose the bar.
