alright, no shitting this time people. Is anyone actually contemplating on getting the Wii, and if so, what games are you looking into buying? I am getting for god damn sure and want the Zelda game...The Twilight Princess* I think it was titled? The remote controller I don't know about...but at least it includes the analog. It's just too bad that it can't play blueray or any of that shit, but at 250, what do you expect?

You deserved to be beaten to death for not knowing the title of the new zelda game.

-> -> -> -> -> The Twilight Princess <- <- <- <- <-

And for 250,its a fucking rip-off,its just a bit more powerful gamecube,Nintendo is actually making profit, which is rare for a console launch.

Nintendo loves money, twilight princess was announced for Gamecube.Probably was already done, but they pushed it back so much that it became a launch title for the Wii.

well nintendo is MOSTLY geared toward children since most of their names are of the non violent or provocative nature...however the Wii does seem to have more violent than non violent from the get go. Who knows though, maybe it'll end up like the gamecube.

A rip off? WTF?

Dude, the console comes with a game, and some free FULL GAME downloads. So technically, you're getting a more powerful GC with an additional game, and some free downloads from 16-but titles...

That's a lot more bang for the buck than shelling out $653 or so for the system with a damn demo disk, and then have to pay $60 for the games AND memory card. The WII actually has an additional internal memory drive to save games on.

No. it wsn't. look at the old screen shots and compare to the new one. There is a huuuge difference. I'm not even a fan of the damn series or nintendo for that matter, and I'll vouch for it on being fucking promising.

I have always loved Nintendo, but the idea of a controller that you wave around is just stupid. What happens when you have four people playin Mario Tennis or whatever? SMACK! I'm content with my Gamecube with normal controlls.

You can switch controllers. Not to mention, it's wireless.... meaning you have the liberty of staying CLEAR OF YOUR FRIENDS AND STILL PLAY, lol.

There is this thing called 'Restraint' one learns about when doing any action in life. I'm PRETTY sure you can play a tennis game without killing your friends trying to go for the ace.

I live in a NYC apartment. Our lack of room here is legendary.

fixed that for you
yes it does suck a little that the tech specs for the wii are weak compared to the two other systems, but i applaud nintendo for selling the system for a profit

its about damn time that a system would be sold for a profit
A 20-gigabyte version of PlayStation 3 costs almost $806 to make and will sell for $499, El Segundo, California-based iSuppli said in a research note today. The 60-gigabyte model retails for $599 and costs $840 to build, based on an analysis of assembly and parts costs

Sony might not profit from the PS3 console itself, but they sure as hell will rip you off when it comes to memory cards, controllers, and all other devices and add-ons they'll make.

Actually, you didn't fix it. Since A coupon is coming inside the WII boxed-set for 3 free downloadable games. At least thats what the guys at NintendoWorld (Their official store) told me.

First, you don't need memory cards with your PS3,savegames are stored on HD unlike with the Wii,where you need a SD card if I'm correct (may save it on internal memory though).Controllers will cost 40$ if they will use the same prices as in Japan (20$ cheaper than Wii-mote+Nun-Chuck).The memory card adapter so you can put your old saves on your hd will cost 15$ (again the price is same with jap one,I didn't check yet for us prices).

All I know is that people are camping out for it.

And I'm certainly not looking forward to opening tomorrow morning.

That and that it will definitely sell better than the PS3... and not just because we have more in.
