I just saw this 30 hoodie on ebay. The price is insane in itself ($68) and the starting bid was probably around $5.99, but the fact that she's selling something that has the lyrics all wrong. It says, "Marry me. Bury me." What the hell... Where did she get her lyrics from, and who is buying this crap? I admit it's a cool hoodie by itself (with the stripes at the end of sleeves and at the waist) and it's a cool idea, but I couldn't buy that knowing the lyrics are wrong.

This girl seems to make heaps of diy stuff. She's always making tote bags and stuff like that using the band and others like My Chemical Romance and stuff.

And as for the buyer...I noticed that the guy who is the highest bidder on this is also the highest bidder for those "livestrong" bracelets that person came advertising here the other day.

It's all breaching copyright and whatnot anyway isn't it?

I looked through her store and every 30 item has those lyrics on them. I'm wondering about the copyright thing myself. She's using images that are all over the net though, and it's one thing to make it for yourself and another to sell it online. hmmm

Jeez.
I'm thinking of emaliing her through my ebay account and telling her if she's going to make clothes with band lyrics on them, she should at least get the fucking lyrics right. dry.gif
I mean, some of her stuff is pretty cool. But really, how long does it take to actually get the correct lyrics to songs?

I know, I was thinking of e-mailing her too. You would think the people bidding would notice that as well. Yeah, she has some cool items, and that 30 hoodie is very nice but come on. It doesn't take long to search around or come on here and get the lyrics right. She could even make a thread and ask for fuck's sake.

I just sent her this e-mail; I didn't want to be a complete bitch just in case I ever buy something from her. haha

"I wanted to let you know the lyrics "Marry me. Bury me" you're using for all of the 30 Seconds To Mars clothing are wrong. It's just "Bury me. Bury me." Some of your items are pretty cool, but I wouldn't buy them knowing the lyrics are wrong. The 30STM items make me wonder if the lyrics used for the other bands are wrong too."

Hah, that is awesome.

I love seeing this kind of stuff, and I hope the seller is making bank.

Someone could always contact Virgin about this if it persists. Her stuff is very ugly, if you ask me. She uses the same template for everything she does, the same photos, the same 'lyrics', the same paint splatters. And for her to be making $70 for this hoodie is OUTRAGEOUS.

I've emailed Lance about this and asked him to pass it on to the correct channel on my behalf. I mean, I got in shit for trying to sell stuff for charity that had 30's logo, but this is ridiculous.

In your opinion, yes. But I wouldn't buy any of that trash.

I've made my own stuff for shows that looks marginally better than what people are trying to sell.

Well in your opinion its trash and in your opinion you made stuff which looks better.

How can anyone say that any of the stuff in the 30STM store looks nice ?? Its far too expensive stuff with barely anything on.Wow a red cross with the glyphics and the phoenix on the back, lets charge 45 bucks for that.

True dat. Which is why most people make their own stuff. And most of the self-made stuff that I've seen is pretty frickin good. Sometimes I reckon they should have a look on here for ideas for new merch. But that's just me. And sorry for jumping into this convo you two seemed to be having.

I am inclined to agree with you, Dean. I haven't bought any official merch except for my red arrow shirt which I got off 'ebay'. I know, I'm calling the kettle black.

But the merch they have IS outrageously overpriced. I was thinking of buying the combat hat ($35!!!) and the new red vintage tee ($40!!) but yeah, no thanks.

Factor on top of that any shipping charges or duty, and you're spending an arm and a leg.

you can buy tshirts there that have seattle seahawks on the front...and chicago bears on the back hahahahaha gotta love fuck ups.

and dean----i agree!!! the shit in the store is bullshit! thats why i wont spend my money on it.

Well yeah, Boov. It's just frustrating because I feel bad buying their own official merch off ebay because I can't afford it at the shows...I mean, they obviously got full price for it somewhere down the line, but if I could afford to spend the money for it from their hands first, I would. But I can't.

i wasnt criticisizing you if you think that...i just think that the merch in the store is shite. its way too expensive...and yeah it turns people like you towards ebay to gain their merch. so maybe they need to rethink that.

If you listen to some of the live versions I'm pretty sure he sings "Marry me, Bury Me" sometimes in the first chorus. In the beginning I thought he was doing it on the album too but now I can't tell.

^ He definately doesn't say that, lol.

I've seen this chick's stuff. She has sold several 30stm hoodies before, but I never saw incorrect lyrics on them.

I do wonder if it's illegal...
