Aloha kakou,

And I hope that no one minds a n00b doing this kind of "OMG I NEED ANSWERS" kind of thing. This is basically because it's sometimes hard on the internet to remember who is whom, and it's nice to put some details to the various names, photos and avatars that are floating around everywhere.

Anyway, here is a little meme thing I made up. And so you guys get the idea (I word my questions oddly sometimes,) I'll go first. How's that grab ya?

Oh, and please FEEL FREE TO SKIP ANY QUESTIONS YOU FIND TOO PERSONAL.

What are you called / do you like to be called? Jules, or Jay. LJ name is Kapunua; that's my Hawaiian name.

What the hell is that in your avatar? Jackie Chan, and what I try to live by sometimes: "What Would Jackie Do?"

How old are you? 33. Too old for concerts. wink.gif

Where are you from? The Beautiful Island of Long, born and raised.

Edumacation: BA in English and literature. Some biology, pre-med and theater. Entirely useless.

What do you do for money, honey? (Work, school, whatever...) I work as a vet assistant and kennel chick at an animal hospital, and I also dance Hula professionally, usually during the summer.

Where do you get your kicks? (Sorry, old school AC/DC ref. What are your hobbies?) Hula is my first love; Kung Fu is my addiction. I like to read, play video games, go swimming when it's warm, and watch movies. I love to write. I try to draw sometimes, but I suck at it. Also I make my own stupid music videos. Much fun. I volunteer every day of my life by being an avian rehabber. I currently have 27 birds in my care.

What are your goals and dreams? I would so love to get my stupid novels published someday. Hey, it could happen, you never know! I dream of having my own littla halau (Hula school) where I could teach until I'm like 90 or something.

How are those jobs / hobbies a part of who you are? I was a miserable person until Hula came into my life. There was something about it that calmed me down and let me breathe again. It still works for me. To an extent, all of the things I love do. Kung Fu is the best meditation. You can't panic while you're training.

Single / married / holding out / don't care / kids? Single, happy, fulfilled. Husband would tie me down and not in a fun way. Kids someday, probably on my own.

First language? English

Polyglot? A smattering of French, and enough Hawaiian to get by.

Have you had adventures? Yes, I travel alone a lot, sometimes for Hula, sometimes for kicks. Been to the top of Kilauea, conversed with Pele. Been surfing which is always fun. Enjoy heights and hanging out of windows. Sparring with my training brothers and sisters is also a rush.

Movies you like? Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Quills, Shallow Grave, Advent Children, The Usual Suspects, Lilo and Stitch, Spirited Away, Arsenic and Old Lace, The Truman Show, Fargo, Kung Fu Hustle, Young Frankenstein, Star Wars, The Godfather, Pirates of the Caribbean, Endless Waltz, Mononoke Hime, Millennium Actress, almost anything with Jackie Chan. (Lifted that list right off my MySpace. wink.gif )

Books you like? Too many to name, really. It would be a list of hundreds. Briefly, though, I like: almost anything by Shakespeare; In Search of Schrodinger's Cat (a cool book on quantum reality); pretty much any physics books in laymen's terms; Jane Eyre; Wuthering Heights; Wide Sargasso Sea; The Great Train Robbery; Pele and Hi'iaka (a story in Hawaiian chant); Peter Pan (the original by JM Barrie); Captain Hook - The Adventures of a Notorious Youth; Pigs In Heaven; most anything by Stephen King but especially the Gunslinger series; the Harry Potter series; and many different manga from Japan.

Smoke? HELL no.

Drink? A few times a year.

Drugs? Nope, hard to get me to take aspirin, even.

Religious? No, but witchy.

What are your issues / hot buttons? Rights, equality, the current administration, Native American issues.

Pets? Three dogs (two Salukis, Trisky and Haku, and one border collie/ShepX, Sano,) a giant green iguana named Pendragon, a bluejay named Cassidy, a retarded grackle named Lil Jon, a blind grackle named Ray and a snail named Salvatore Giuliano. My wild bird wards are not pets.

"Robin... Do you have anything to add?" "No... No, I don't." (Cookies to anyone who gets that reference...) : Actually, why not? Vegetarian, health-freak, animal rights, liberal (the usual pro's: choice, gay rights, equality, gun control, etc. as well as a special interest in Native American rights), travel in the winter and early spring, was raised by various family members in close-knit community, helped to raise younger family members, must have Kung Fu as much as possible in order to sleep well, must live by the ocean.

Now to the fun, meaningful stuff! Hurrah!

How did you first hear about 30 Seconds to Mars? Oddly, on Fandom Wank about a month ago over Jared's cagey "I'm gay" thing. Thought for a while, "Jared who?" and then out of boredom and avoidance of sleep, watched the video The Kill. Could NOT get the freaking song out of my head the next day, which hasn't happened to me literally in years.

What made you fall in love with this band? The Kill. It made me remember how to love music.

Echelon? Yes, a n00b.

Have you been to any concerts? If so, how many? No, but I hope to go.

Any stand-out 30STM experiences? So far, just getting into both CDs and driving down deserted highways really fast, listening to them really loud!

Which are your favorite songs and why? Well, The Kill I guess, because it was my first and I love the way it builds and then breaks open. From Yesterday, because it shows so many sides to the entire band. Battle of One, because Shannon wins at music.

Which are your "theme songs" or the soundtracks to your life, or incidents in your life? Edge of the Earth. To me, it's a song about people who can't just sit around. It's how I try to live.

What else do you listen to aside from 30 STM? I mostly listen to Hawaiian music like the Makaha Sons, Keali'i Reichel, Mark Keali'i Ho'omalu, Kekuhi Kanahele and the like, but I also love the 90's Seattle scene music, Vanessa Mae, Lo Fidelity Allstars, Mozart (especially the Requiem Mass,) Leonard Cohen (LOVE!) Everyone must listen to Leonard Cohen! Nick Cave, (LOVE!) Talking Heads, and also some Japanese music, from traditional / cultural ancient songs to J-pop and soundtracks. Really just a little bit of everything, except for country music. For the most part, I don't enjoy country music.

Biscuit? I hope not! But I am not going to sit here and call any of the boys ugly; they are unreasonably handsome, all of them. I know I can occasionally get effusive about beauty, but I really don't mean anything by it and say the same things about people I know personally, too. happy.gif

A link to your pic in the picture thread, for quick and easy reference? Shoots, why did I make this so difficult? Now it's going to take me forever to find it. >_> STUPID! http://thirtysecondstomars.emiforums.com/i...st&p=575209 I think that's right.

Feel free to post any more questions, too; then previous posters can go back and edit them into their replies if they want.

Have fun! Talk about yourself. We all love doing that. happy.gif

~~Jules

Hmm and honestly, it's kind of a drag to click on everyone's MySpace. Plus, not everyone has one.

Where do you get your kicks? (Sorry, old school AC/DC ref. What are your hobbies?) Most of the time if I'm not just sitting around listening to music, I'm either hanging out with friends, practicing with my band or playing sports. I LOVE sports. I've played soccer and baseball/softball for as long as I can remember.

What are your goals and dreams? I would absolutely love to get my band signed. That would be pretty rad. I would also like to do tattoos for a living. I love art of all kinds, so I think that would be cool.

How are those jobs / hobbies a part of who you are? Tattoos are really important to me. The tattoos I have right now are some-what of a Thank You to a certain band who has helped me get through some tough shit. I think you can really tell a lot about who a person is by their tattoos, and it's something people never forget. I would love to be a part of that.

First language? English

Polyglot? Gaelic, Spanish, some Italian, French, and I am learning Finnish

"Robin... Do you have anything to add?" "No... No, I don't." (Cookies to anyone who gets that reference...) : Nope. Not really. Well. . .I'm a vegetarian. . . .That's about it!

Now to the fun, meaningful stuff! Hurrah!

How did you first hear about 30 Seconds to Mars? I was just looking around the internet at random stuff about 4/5 years ago and I stumbled across them. I heard Buddha For Mary, and I was in love.

What made you fall in love with this band? Ah. That was funny. Buddha for Mary. I don't know why.

Echelon? Yes. Semi-new to the forums though.

Have you been to any concerts? If so, how many? 30STm concerts? YES. I just had my 10th. . .a month from today!

Any stand-out 30STM experiences? Not particularly. Hmmm. I have to think about that.

Which are your favorite songs and why? Buddha For Mary, because that's what originally drew me in, and The Fantasy. I'm not sure why The Fantasy is one of my favorites, it just sticks out in my mind.

Which are your "theme songs" or the soundtracks to your life, or incidents in your life? This sounds so predictable, but probably The Story.

What else do you listen to aside from 30 STM? Yet again, too much to name. It's all on my myspace. haha.

Biscuit? No. I do find the guys of 30 attractive, but I'm by no means a biscuit.

A link to your pic in the picture thread, for quick and easy reference? http://thirtysecondstomars.emiforums.com/i...294&st=3280

Where are you from? Born in South Korea, raised in NJ.

Edumacation: highschool.

What are your goals and dreams? Win an oscar. haha. And fall in love.

How are those jobs / hobbies a part of who you are? Fairway golf center- first job. It's where I met perve boy though- what a retard. Um... theater and music are my life.

Single / married / holding out / don't care / kids?
Single. With shit that has been going down recently to me and my friends, I can't trust guys. Like.. period.

First language? English

Have you had adventures? I wouldn't really call anything I've done an "adventure"

Movies you like? Requiem for a Dream, Sin City, Xmen (all of them), Lord of the Rings (all of them), American Psycho, Fight Club, Rent, Phantom of the Opera, Bang Bang You're Dead, Peter Pan, and tons more.

Books you like? Not a big reader when it comes to anything but plays. I liked Einstein's Dreams, though. And Harry Potter, I guess. wink.gif

Smoke?
Only when I'm drinking. It's like my friends fucking shove cigarettes at me when they know I don't smoke. thanks, guys.

Drink?
yeah, occasionally. can't wait for my graduation party. 30 drunk friends staying over my house for the whole night. hahah.

Drugs? nope.

Religious?
Nope

What are your issues / hot buttons? Rights, equality, the current administration (stolen from you), being non-hypocritical

Pets? Two cats (Cleopatra and Mercutio) and a parakeet named Magick.

"Robin... Do you have anything to add?"
I have the most loud, obnoxious laugh ever. I can't dance. I'm extremely self-conscious. I've only liked 3 guys in my whole life. One was gay, the other was when I was in elementary school, and the other way my recent first kiss guy. Um.. yes, I really am a virgin. But I'm not a prude. Definitely, absurdly not a prude. I dislike most asians. Don't ask me why. I'm adopted, yes I really am.

Now to the fun, meaningful stuff! Hurrah!

How did you first hear about 30 Seconds to Mars? Jared Leto. I admit, his movies make me happy. But I was never a "biscuit".

What made you fall in love with this band? Unique sound. Close echelon community (although I don't really feel the closeness anymore that much). The fact that the guys are dolls (or have been to me).

Echelon? Depends on your definition.

Have you been to any concerts? I 6 including cbgb's in a couple days.

Any stand-out 30STM experiences? I guess chilling with them afterwards at Starland Ballroom and Hammerstein.

Which are your favorite songs and why? End of the Beginning, because its the fucking end of the beginning. Um... basically the whole first album rocks. Year zero made me especially happy for some reason. On the second album, I loved A Modern Myth and Battle of One, of course.

Which are your "theme songs" or the soundtracks to your life, or incidents in your life?
No clue.

What else do you listen to aside from 30 STM? Zeromancer, Alanis Morisette, Damien Rice, Coldplay, Radiohead, System of a Down, Broadway showtunes, Dave Matthews Band, Frou Frou, Evanescence, Rage Against the Machine, Nirvana, Josh Groban, Lord of the Rings soundtrack, Smashing Pumpkins, and much more.

Biscuit? Like I said, no.

you all know what i look like...

haha...i'm a sucker for surveys!

What are you called / do you like to be called? Joy, but freakychick or freaky is fine by me.

What the hell is that in your avatar? some avatar i got a few years back...my current mantra, i guess...ha.

How old are you? 24, turning 25 in 2 months.

Where are you from? originally from manila, philippines...now currently residing in the lovely west coast canadian city of Vancouver, B.C.

Edumacation: currently completing my bachelors of applied journalism...going on my second year...yes, i want to write for rolling stone, bitches.

What do you do for money, honey? (Work, school, whatever...) i work in the largest bookstore chain in Canada (think barnes and noble), been there for 5 years as a bookseller...currently off of school for the summer.

Where do you get your kicks? (Sorry, old school AC/DC ref. What are your hobbies?) reading. writing. hanging out with friends. photography. MUSIC. (i sing, but i won't dare try to sing a 30STM...don't want to bastardize it!) some other creative stuff like making jewelrey and such.

What are your goals and dreams? hopefully want to get a steady job as journalist, either in a local community paper...end goal would be to work at a local entertainment weekly newspaper/magazine...or a major music/culture magazine.

How are those jobs / hobbies a part of who you are? i've always loved writing, it's the best way i can express myself without stammering or losing words...i am always amazed by the power of words, and i want to make an impact through the things i say...my God, that sounded like a hallmark card, but it's the truth.

Single / married / holding out / don't care / kids? currently single...shitty last boyfriend broke up with me by e-mail...go figure.

First language? Filipino, but i'm damn fluent in english...i'm bilingual.

Polyglot? also know a bit of french and spanish...but not enough to get me by, i suppose.

Have you had adventures? well, i'm about to go on a trip to Peru...help out the kids there for two weeks...that will probably be my biggest adventure yet...i also survived covering the Canadian federal elections this year...why the fuck did harper win again?!

Movies you like? 24 hour party people. american beauty. apocalypse now. dead poet's society. eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. fight club. garden state. it's all gone, pete tong. lord of the rings trilogy. lost in translation. memento. nightmare before christmas. requiem for a dream. saved. trainspotting. the corporation. the passion of the christ. (yup, pulled that up from myspace as well.)

Books you like? wrong question to ask a bookseller, because it would be a hell of a long list...but for starters, i love anything by c.s. lewis, chuck palahniuk, douglas coupland...pretty much all classic english lit...major interest in cultural studies non-fiction as well.

Drink? yes, usually socially, not that i'd get drunk.

Drugs? nah, i got better things to get my high from.

Religious? yeah, i'm a Christian.

What are your issues / hot buttons? racism, the state of religion in north america (i hate conservatives!), government in general.

Pets? does fish count?

"Robin... Do you have anything to add?" "No... No, I don't." (Cookies to anyone who gets that reference...) : yes, i'm a liberal christian, it can happen...i like chocolate covered almonds...i think we should all read more...ehhhh, that's all i can think of.

Now to the fun, meaningful stuff! Hurrah!

How did you first hear about 30 Seconds to Mars? mmmm, i had heard/seen the video for "capricorn"...liked it, thought of picking up the album (they sold it for $9 when it was first released)...didn't really care that mr. jared leto was the lead singer...liked the album, but maybe i was blind or stupid so i stopped listening to it for the longest time...actually thought of selling it...but i kept it anyways...then last year i heard "attack" from an internet site...liked it, but i was dead set that i wouldn't like 30STM anymore, i didn't get ABL when it was first released...even my friend, who had it, said it was good and i didn't believe her...then just about 2 months ago, one of my friends put "the kill" as her myspace profile song...I LOVED IT...and then i got obsessed with the song...picked up ABL a month ago...officially obsessed with the band since.

What made you fall in love with this band? both Attack and The Kill...and especially the latter...the lyrics just spoke to me so clearly, it mirrored what i've felt and sometimes feel as a person...i always attach to songs like that...my personal soundtrack.

Echelon? noobie...i'm wishing on more vancouver echelon here, looks like i'll have to start one, hmm?

Have you been to any concerts? if i had been a fan any sooner, i would have gone to their vancouver show last april...so as of yet, i am a 30STM live concert virgin.

Any stand-out 30STM experiences? just the fact that i can't get enough of their songs now...i found a new love for the first album, and i'm officially stuck on ABL...it's wonderful.

Which are your favorite songs and why? The Kill, Battle of One, Echelon, A Modern Myth, A Beautiful Lie...but i pretty much like them all.

Which are your "theme songs" or the soundtracks to your life, or incidents in your life? The Kill and A Beautiful Lie...pretty much fits my life to a T.

What else do you listen to aside from 30 STM? i pretty much listen to every genre...except for some current top 40, country, and hardcore rap...other than that, my iPod is pretty eclectic...from system of a down, to ray charles, to robbie williams...it's all cool.

Biscuit? oh dear God, i hope not...i will say this...i fell in love with the music first before i started noticing jared...and there is no way you can tell me that they are not good-looking...but what matters the most is the music...i've memorized them to heart, they mean a lot to me, and that's that.

A link to your pic in the picture thread, for quick and easy reference? here....it's too dark, but you get the point.

that was fun...now i want to get the 30STM shirt that i had my parents buy for me in seattle...eeeee!
EDIT: WTF?!...what do you mean they don't have it yet at hot topic?!...man, i wanted that sooooo bad.

What are you called / do you like to be called? I am called Proxen. The Proxenator. Proximus Glutius Maximus. The list goes on.

Really, some people call me "The List Goes On."

What the hell is that in your avatar? I have an avatar?

How old are you? 21

Where are you from? Cal-ee-for-nee-yuh

Edumacation: I go to school. I get good grades. I get bad grades. Some would say I'm a middling student. I would say some are FUCKING ASSHOLES WHO GIVES THEM THE RIGHT TO JUDGE?!

What do you do for money, honey? (Work, school, whatever...) I go to school. Soon I will work.

Where do you get your kicks? (Sorry, old school AC/DC ref. What are your hobbies?) On route 66...asshole. Anyway, concerts (playing and attending), gaming (RPG, RTS, FPS, Adventure, Puzzle, Anything), Sleeping (FUCK YEAH), and I'm a loser for romance.

What are your goals and dreams? Firstly: Tour the world, in my band or with my classical music. Secondly, be a philosophy teacher/writer. Thirdly, get into a good law school, graduate cumming louder, and get a job that bills me out at $300+ an hour, full time, but with flexible vacation times. Invest in real estate, and the stock market, be a millionaire by 32. Retire.

How are those jobs / hobbies a part of who you are? 1 - I'm a musician. It's the only thing I'm good at. 2 - I'm into philosophy and all that other metaphysical and epistemological shit. 3 - I'd make a good lawyer, and I love justice. I also love money, but I love leisure time.

Single / married / holding out / don't care / kids? Single. Too much bullshit to go into.

First language? English

Polyglot? Uh. No. Very, very little of Swedish.

Have you had adventures? I've had a few. Only 2 have really mattered. One, involved a girl. And another, involved endeavoring to play music.

Movies you like? Ahem... Tons-Of-Shit. Right now I'm watching the Family Guy movie, Waiting, Trainspotting, and a few others on an extremely regular basis.

Books you like? Favorite: The Hobbit (J.R.R. Tolkien). Others: Lord of the Rings (all 5 related books). Thus Spoke Zarathustra (Nietzsche). Wheel of Time series (up to 7 currently; Robert Jordan). They're not really books, but Titus and Macbeth (Shake-a-spear). Some others that I read for fulfillment but don't necessarily "like": Metaphysics (Aristotle), Anything by Plato.

Really it comes down to this: Give it to me, I'll read it. I love learning anything and everything. I read the dictionary for fun...I know at least 1 person on this board feels me here.

Smoke? No

Drink? Occasionally

Drugs? Occasionally

Religious? Heathen.

What are your issues / hot buttons? Name it, I've probably got an opinion. Generally, I'm a reformist, so I come to issues with just about anything, due to how royally fucked up our world is, currently.

Pets? 2 Dogs: Jelly and Fondoo (fuck yeah! FOOD FOR NAMES, BITCHES). 2 Cats: Shannon and Buzz Aldrin (Buzz is a female FYI).

"Robin... Do you have anything to add?" "No... No, I don't." (Cookies to anyone who gets that reference...) : No... Just don't piss me off. Which just means don't be dumb, and you're safe.

Now to the fun, meaningful stuff! I have a very small penis, BUT I'm not insecure about it. In fact, I feel that it shows character. And, I'll show my character to any one of you girls, on request smile.gif

How did you first hear about 30 Seconds to Mars? A friend of mine played them for me in his truck.

What made you fall in love with this band? It was good shit.

Echelon? No

Have you been to any concerts? If so, how many? I really don't know. I'll just say 15 to be both sober, and absolutely fucking bonkers.

Any stand-out 30STM experiences? Getting Jared to sign my panties OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!

Which are your favorite songs and why? Jupiter. Edge of the Earth.

Which are your "theme songs" or the soundtracks to your life, or incidents in your life? Right now, as much as it pains me to say, "The Kill".

What else do you listen to aside from 30 STM? Everything, at least once. Chiefly: Metal. Classical. Fusion/Jazz. Blues. Indie.

Biscuit? Yes, with some raspberry jam. Thank you, love, they're quite delightful!

A link to your pic in the picture thread, for quick and easy reference? Never.

P.S. You all should STFU (yes STFU) about the posts thing. Who gives a flying fuck...

Have you had adventures? I was in the Navy for 3 years . . . that's an adventure in itself sometimes. I have moved from state to state every 3-4 years for the past 10 years. I gave birth. (laugh.gif don't tell me that's not an adventure until you've been in labor 30 hours yourself! laugh.gif )

How did you first hear about 30 Seconds to Mars? I was driving in Portland, Maine one day in late 2001/early 2002 and heard Capricorn on a new/underground music show on the radio. The rest is history.

What made you fall in love with this band? The sound was unlike anything I had ever heard before. Once I FINALLY got to see them live and met the guys, they were great and I really admire that they devote so much time to their fans, since a lot of bands just don't (or won't) do that.

Echelon? What about it? I have met some fellow Echelon that are just fantastic people.

Have you been to any concerts? If so, how many? 4 (including an acoustic set).

Any stand-out 30STM experiences? They've all been pretty cool (except for after the show in New Orlenas, which I thought was just kind of weird.)

Which are your favorite songs and why? S/T = Fallen, Oblivion, Echelon, The Mission and End of the Beginning ----- ABL = Battle of One, The Fantasy, From Yesterday

Which are your "theme songs" or the soundtracks to your life, or incidents in your life?
Too many songs remind me of too many things that have happened throughout my life.

What else do you listen to aside from 30 STM? dredg, Muse, Anberlin, Angels and Airwaves, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Coldplay, Radiohead and U2, to name a few.

Biscuit? I like to eat them . . . warm, with a little bit of butter and grape jam.

I don't have a recentish pic in the picture thread . . . but I have one on my Myspace. wink.gif

What are you called / do you like to be called? Only certain people can get away with a nickname for me. If you're not one of those certain people then Megan will do just fine.

What the hell is that in your avatar? Absolutely NOTHING haha!!!

How old are you? 21

Where are you from? Well born in Texas (yeehaw!) then moved all over the nation then got shipped over to Germany (military brat!) and then when a death in the family occurred we moved back to the states and I now live in Olympia, WA

Edumacation: Graduated high school in 2003. Studied General Music Studies for about a year and a half and then dropped out to figure out what I REALLY wanted to do and am now currently working three jobs to get enough money to fall back in to college by September to start one of the FOUR degrees I'll need for the field I've decided to master in. smile.gif (Forensics and Medicine)

What do you do for money, honey? (Work, school, whatever...) I have three jobs right now.

Where do you get your kicks? (Sorry, old school AC/DC ref. What are your hobbies?) Hanging out with my cool co-workers at one of my jobs, babysitting (the girls I watch over are like sisters to me) and spending time with my family

What are your goals and dreams? To graduate college with the four degrees I've been planning on getting.

How are those jobs / hobbies a part of who you are? Well I'm a people person. I enjoy being around people, talking to them, and hanging out with them.

Single / married / holding out / don't care / kids? Been single for a few months. Kinda want it to stay that way too.

First language? English

Polyglot? *grunts*

Have you had adventures? Hell yeah! smile.gif Went on an awesome hiking trip back in 2003 with my family and now sister-in-law, and not only did my moms truck almost fall off the road 4 miles up the mountain (we had to drive about 4 miles to get to the actual hiking start) and then my sister-in-law burped so insanely loud the morning after we arrived that people really didnt look at her as the "sweet innocent girl" anymore and then we spent 5 days without a shower and eating MRE's in the middle of nowhere.

I've had MANY adventures, but that was in the greatest one of all time

Movies you like? Blood, Guts, Gore, horror, comedy, Action.....PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN!!!!!

Books you like? If James Patterson wrote it, you'll see me reading it smile.gif

Drink? Yes. Been trashed MANY times but only once SO BAD that there is a 2 hour block i totally do not remember.

Drugs? Just caffiene pills, and that was only for a few months.....damn were the withdrawels murder. My ex made me drink snapple for two months straight.....he even had my brothers watch over me to make sure i wasnt sneaking soda.

Religious? Kinda sorta.

What are your issues / hot buttons? fireworks. Dont get me wrong. They're great and all but my dad fought in a war so when he hears them he usually ends up getting freaked out and ends up turning the TV and stereo WAAAAAAAAAAY up so he cant hear them.

Pets? 4 dogs and 4 cats

"Robin... Do you have anything to add?" "No... No, I don't." (Cookies to anyone who gets that reference...) : MONKIES

Now to the fun, meaningful stuff! Hurrah!

How did you first hear about 30 Seconds to Mars? It was way back yonder. I think I was a.....a Junior in high school when I first heard about them from one of my MANY brothers. He said that they were going to be in concert in Seattle so we all paid for tickets and actually had pretty awesome friggen seats but the tour got cancelled because of weather in the city the band was currently in sooooo yeah. From that point on I kinda just kept up on them from that point and when their first cd came out I borrowed it from my bro as much as I could until he moved out and from then on I've kinda just been struggling my way along and then when I got my own computer I was all "YEAH!!!!! 30STM!!!!!!!!" lol

What made you fall in love with this band? Their music. Literally. It sounds so amazing. I PROUDLY blare their music smile.gif

Echelon? I havent joined the one here in Olympia yet. I doubt I'll be welcome either. To a couple people I'm just a "copycat"

Have you been to any concerts? I'm usually in a VERY POOR financial situation when the touring season gets around so I havent been to one officially. I've gotten pictures from friends and all that jazz but other than that I usually end up daydreaming. Now that I've got a few jobs i might set aside a few hundred just for the concerts and merchandise and all that jazz smile.gif

Any stand-out 30STM experiences? Not really

Which are your favorite songs and why? A Beautiful Lie, The Kill, The Attack, Buddha for Mary. Because they are awesome. Thats why

Which are your "theme songs" or the soundtracks to your life, or incidents in your life? Pretty much all of it.

What else do you listen to aside from 30 STM? New Age, Techno, Euro Music, Rap....so on and so forth. Kinda leave country at the door. I cant really stand much of it. Too many damn love songs for my taste (no offense to the MAJOR country music fans)

Biscuit? MONKIES

A link to your pic in the picture thread, for quick and easy reference? Nah I think I'll just make you search for it. HAHAHAHA

What are you called / do you like to be called? well my name is Jacqueline, and you can call me Jacqueline, but a lot of people call me Jackie, Jack or Jax. Depends on who it is, but I don't have a preference. I love my name. I love Jacqueline, but I also love my nicknames. So any of the four is fine with me.

What the hell is that in your avatar? A butterfly that I added neon effects to. I liked it.

How are those jobs / hobbies a part of who you are? Reading and writing is definitely apart of who I am. I love to write. My favorite subject in school was English. Anything relating to that I loved. My job? well working at applebees has nothing to do with that. It is kinda a crappy job, but whatever.

First language? English

Polyglot? huh? I know a bit of French.

Have you had adventures? um..I once drove all the way to Vegas from Virginia with my dad, my sister and her boyfriend at the time. My sister was cranky. She hated the trip. Took about 4 days or so. She was tired of being in the car, but I LOVED IT.

Pets? I have no pets personally, but my parents and sisters have a lot of cats.

"Robin... Do you have anything to add?" "No... No, I don't." (Cookies to anyone who gets that reference...) : what?

How did you first hear about 30 Seconds to Mars? On a vh1 show about actors in bands. They were the only band they were praising and I had to get the CD after hearing capricorn in the background. I loved the song.

What made you fall in love with this band? Everything about them rocked. Buddha for Mary was one of my favorite songs for awhile. Then I really started to love year zero and a ton of others. self titled CD was quite special, but I also love A Beautiful Lie.

Echelon? Yes.

Have you been to any concerts? If so, how many? Yes I have. Two this year.

Any stand-out 30STM experiences? Meeting Matt last night and sharing a poetry book I made for him.

Which are your favorite songs and why? I really love The Story, and I won't get into why. So many interpretions I have of their songs, but I like to keep the more personal ones to myself. That is kinda personal why I love it. I love year zero. To be honest I am not entirely sure why I love this song. It is just a good fucking song. A beautiful Lie because I think everyone has moments in their lives where they tell themselves 'beautiful lies' to get through almost anything. I love a lot of their songs.

Which are your "theme songs" or the soundtracks to your life, or incidents in your life? The story, A Beautiful Lie, Carpicorn.

What else do you listen to aside from 30 STM?Evanescence, The Cure, NIN, Plastic Toys, Fresh Meat, Greg James, The Birthday Massacre, Lindi Ortega, Loss of a Child, Joan Jett, Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis Presley, Pat Benatar, Godsmack, The Black Crowes, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Buckley,The Beatles, John Lennon, U2, Zero1 aka Hal Sparks Band, Lifehouse, Avenged sevenfold, Lacuna Coil, A perfect Circle, Kelly Clarkson, Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, Green Day, Christina Aguilera, Katey Rose, The Who, Buffalo Tom, Lenny Kravits, The Rolling Stones,The doors, Steve Miller band, The Clash, The Ramones, Motley Crue, Metallica, The hollies, Deep Purple, 80's pop

What are you called / do you like to be called? Karim.

What the hell is that in your avatar? The letter/number/symbol X.

How old are you? 732383656.58 seconds.

Where are you from? Compton, California, USA.

Edumacation: Some college.

What do you do for money, honey? (Work, school, whatever...) I fix people's computers.

Where do you get your kicks? (Sorry, old school AC/DC ref. What are your hobbies?) I like things that are awesome, such as video games where you shoot people in the face, TV shows where people get shot in the face, or movies with people shooting each other in the face.

What are your goals and dreams? I just want to kick it with a beautiful woman and make people.

How are those jobs / hobbies a part of who you are? I have an inherent knack for and need to solve problems, which makes me good at math and figuring out complex systems. This leads straight into PC work. This is solidified by the fact that PCs fascinate me because they are pretty much the heart of informatics. Information is awesome.

Single / married / holding out / don't care / kids? Single and hating every god-forsaken second of it.

First language? English

Polyglot? Spanish, Arabic.

Have you had adventures? I've travelled the world, yes, and all before I was 14. I've been through some incredible and interesting ordeals. I could write a book.

Movies you like? BATMAN BEGINS!, Terminator 2: Judgment Day!, The Matrix!, Serenity, Superman Returns, The Lion King, Fearless, Boondock Saints, Gladiator, Aladdin, Pulp Fiction

Books you like? Batman, Flash, Moon Knight

Smoke? Negative.

Drink? Negative.

Drugs? Negative.

Religious? Negative.

What are your issues / hot buttons? I have no respect for anything which alienates my sense of fairness; injustice, cheaters, spousal abuse, Affirmative Action, etc. As a general rule, though, nothing bothers me because I simply do not care.

Pets? I had a dog that was born three weeks before me and was to be given to me when I was born. Her name was Ginger, and she was my best friend. She was killed when we were 11 by a pack of neighborhood dogs. I cried for months. I will never own another animal.

"Robin... Do you have anything to add?" "No... No, I don't." (Cookies to anyone who gets that reference...) : I saw a therapist last year about my current state of depression. She told me my problem was too deep-rooted for her 20-plus years of experience and expertise, and referred me to one of the nation's top psychoanalysts in Washington, D.C.

Now to the fun, meaningful stuff! Meaningful things, ironically enough, have no real meaning, and in time will be swallowed by the vacuum of space.

How did you first hear about 30 Seconds to Mars? In the Summer of 2002, one of my friends said, "This is awesome" and sent me Edge of the Earth. I agreed, bought the album, and made an anime music video with The Mission.

What made you fall in love with this band? The Mission.

Echelon? Yes, even though The Mission made me like the band, Echelon quickly and permanently became my favorite song.

Have you been to any concerts? If so, how many? No.

Any stand-out 30STM experiences? None.

Which are your favorite songs and why? Echelon moves me the most. The sound is quite base yet it paints an extremely vivid picture. The beat is great. The Mission is ridiculously energetic and is just good to go.

Which are your "theme songs" or the soundtracks to your life, or incidents in your life? I've never had a song make me feel that way.

What else do you listen to aside from 30 STM? RAKIM!, KRS-One!, Tupac Shakur, Nas, Dr. Dre, Royce Da 5'9''!, Immortal Technique, Twista, Mos Def, Busta Rhymes, Biggie Smalls, Mobb Deep, Triple 6 Mafia, Eminem, 9th Wonder, Beastie Boys, Peedo, SYMBYOSIS!, OPETH!, Unearth, Nonpoint!, Spineshank, KMFDM, Team Sleep, Chimaira, Ill Niņo, Deftones!, Disarmonia Mundi!, Katatonia, Amorphis, Pelican, Muse, Becoming The Archetype, Bullet For My Valentine, Static-X, DragonForce, Raunchy, Cynic, Celldweller, Sinai Beach, Strapping Young Lad

Biscuit? Because of this forum, I can't hear or read this word without thinking of Popeye's Chicken and semen. And that's just wrong.
