Carson Daly Interview/Show

I here to report on my observation of the Last Call with Carson Daly taping last night.
The performance was not lacking in any way. All the energy and intensity was ever present, but everyone was looking a little pasty. Jared is still looking a little sick, but, as always, their hearts were in the performance. Jared’s’ voice sounded a little smokey and "thick", which I felt, had more of an intense affect on the songs.
The interview was, of course, charming. Carson did an interview with Jared prior to the performance. It began with Jared declaring that he thinks he somehow contracted the “bird-flu”. There was a mention of the Chapter 27 movie, and the weight gain/loss, but the interview seemed to always find it way back to 30 STM.
Jared spoke briefly of "Bartholomew" (there were a few giggles, myself included) and he looked out at the audience and said "What? Who's laughing?" with that way that he has that’s like, "What do you THINK you know....?"
He began to get a little "deep", as Jared can, and Carson was teasing him and Jared said, "Sorry... A little too PBS, huh?" and he covered his mouth and laughed.
The songs that they did were the Story and the Kill. The show is scheduled to be on Last Call with Carson Daly on Friday, May 12th. It is worth the wait.
I hope you all enjoy my critique of the show and I will check back in on the board tomorrow with my report of the Jimmy Kimmel show that I am fortunate enough to get to see tonight.

I'm glad that your friend enjoyed the performance! That's why I'm so excited about these publicity stops, because I'm getting a number of my friends and family to watch ... so that they can try to understand my obsession.
Yeah, that was me. >.>

At least she thought that. I took my friend to their concert in Orlando(it was my first concert and it was my birthday) and she kept complaining about the people(yeah, we were standing around really annoying loud people who kept screaming, yes literally screaming and no this wasn't in the concert this was waiting in line about 4 hours before the actual concert) which I understood but the whole concert she stood with her arms crossed and she wouldn't even smile. My Grandma would have been more fun to go with. When we got to meet the band she yawned and Matt, Tomo, and Shannon made a joke and asked if they made her bored and she actually cracked a smile and said "No, I yawn when I'm in love" and Matt said "Well good because we love you!!" and she just walked away. Just like that. Her smile was barely there. And then she finally got Jared to sign her cd and she didn't even say thank you. She just grabbed it and left.

Wow - that would have been really frustrating. I can't imagine anyone acting like that. That's just awful. I would have been pretty pissed. Especially with it being your birthday.

Yeah it was. Which is part of the reason I want to see them again. I rather just go by myself than go with her again just because it made everything awkward. If it wasn't such an amazing concert I would have said she ruined it completely. Next time I hope I'll be able to meet up with some of the other echelon and hang out with them next concert I go to.

mm yeah that sucks a bit
If they are comming to Europe this summer I probably will bring my best friend with me to the concerts while making a little roadtrip. But she doesn't realy like 30stm either, exept for a few songs. But she still wants to come with me.
I'm just going to hope she doesn't act the same as your friend cause that would kind of suck. But knowing my friend , she won't do that, I hope !

yeah, if there are other Echelon that you can meet up with at a concert, you are never really going alone. Which is why this place is so great! I'm hoping to be able to go to another concert on this tour especially now that I have gotten to know people around here a lot better.

Thank you for the report, poor Jared, I hope he isn't forcing his vocal cords to much....it is sad though we Europeans cannot see the show next week but I am shure some of you will record it
