My Review ...

Jared was sick, and I'm glad he came out for the show anyway. The instruments sounded phenomenal; just like on the album. But I could barely hear Jared, and he didn't sound good when I could hear him. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt because he was ill, and assume that he can hold a note when he's well.
I got knocked onto my ass by a moshpit... At a nightclub. I thought they used to go against moshpits and make people stop, but they didn't say anything. My weak-ass knees gave out, and my parents had to help me up. Lmao. Four bozos in the crowd were really twisting my wires. They kept yelling for Jared, and screaming obscenities. We went to the very back of the room in hopes of seeing the band better. It worked for the most part. I got a picture of Jared and Matt. Couldn't see the other two.
I had no idea Keating had such emotion. The singer's voice kinda sounded like some other bands, but it was so strong. It almost seemed effortless for him. When he sung the first song, the beginning reminded me of Codeseven, so I paid attention for sure. The way he moved on stage was mezmorizing. I got a picture with him at the merch table while 30 was playing. He's one of the nicest people I've met. The whole band worked wonderfully together. I got their E.P.
How long do you guys wait for 30 to come on at shows? We waited an hour. My mom said, "Who do they think they are?" And my dad replied, "Superstars." I agreed. I thought that was real chutzpah to make us wait so fucking long. Nothing was even happening for that time, either.
In case you were wondering, they sung:
- A Beautiful Lie
- Capricorn (that's when the moshpit started)
- The Story
- The Fantasy
We left during The Fantasy. I told my dad that they'll probably be out at the bus at the end and we can talk with them, but he said he doubted it. I know they go out and meet fans, so I tried telling him again. Maybe another time. I got the red shirt that says, "MARS" on the sleeve with the Trinity seal on the back.

They did sign CDs afterwords ... according to a review I read elsewhere. Leto was also only in a t-shirt, not even in "costume".

Yeah, Jared was in just a T-shirt and a cap. He gave me the impression that when he came out, it was like, "I'm here now, look at me." My dad even said that. I dunno, I hope it was simply an off-night.

Well, if it gives you any hope at all; I've seen them a few times and it has always been amazing. Sorry you caught him on a sick night.

Oh I think it was an off-night for sure... strep throat IS a big deal. Imagine if you were quite ill, and you had to go perform when all you want to do is pass out in your bunk, quite possibly on the edge of delerious (and not in a good way...in the head swimming with bugs kind of way). Look at it like this, every show you go to after this will be a vast improvement!
You are right, though, to not have high expectations (that should go for ANY show). A million little things can go wrong. And often do.

It's one of those situations where he was damned if he did, damned if he didn't. There would be people complaining/upset if he tried to give a performance when he was seriously sick since it wouldn't be as amazing as we are used to, and there would be people bitching if he cancelled.
All I can say is that I have seen them play twice and they bring so much energy, passion and intensity to the stage. This concert would be the exception to the rule.

Compared to the other reviews I've read, the tapes of shows I've seen and my own personal experience, I can say that they do put on a great show...but sometimes things happen, you know? I'm sorry you happened to go when it was one of those times!

I forgot to say that I grabbed major ass (male). It was so crowded that I couldn't help it. One of the bozos in front of me kept backing up, so my hand was right on his ass. I called him The Building because I couldn't see shit over him. Then another guy stood right in front of me again, and my dad told him to move. He said he wasn't planning on staying there. When he moved away, more ass. Next, another guy walked through the crowd, and that was the best grabbage. Man, it was great. There was the occasional arm/hand touching, too.
I got hella molested by a few girls, though.

I'm sorry you had a bad time; every show I went to was amazing. But like everyone else said, Jared was sick and that's probably one of the reasons they took so long to come out. Over the past week I went to four shows and we weaited half an hour for all three except for once, which we waited forty-five for.
Also, how many concerts have you, your mom, and dad gone to if they've never waited an hour for a band to come on? I think it's sort of messed up for them to judge the egos of the band based on how long they took to come out. There were moshpits at all but one of the concerts I went to, and I really don't think that's something that can be helped, regardless of the venue.
Again, sorry you had a bad time, but these things do happen. Try again next time the band comes around and try giving them the benefit of the doubt instead of being so quick to be dissatisfied; they're worth it.

They waited for them to come onto the stage, not to be outside. He wasn't able to see them after because he left early.
