Amanda I hate to use this "trendy" word but......That comment owns this thread
Melina....please use The Green Mile

I think if I can hunt that down, definitely. It makes sense.

reservoir dogs. In the begining when the whole crew is walkinging in black suits and the mexican music playing in the background....thats classic. "The Right Stuff" where the crew of the space ship is walking to the rocket...classic also. "Dead Poets Society" when they walk and start conforming to eachothers steps and then robin williams has them walk as individuals...not realy a classic but it fits the assignment.
YESSS. The Reservoir Dogs bit is one I definitely was thinking of using if only 'cause I've seen it parodied and all. Thanks!

Um... off the top of my head how about the following scenes:
i) The Sound of Music - the last scene where the family are walking over the Alps to freedom
ii) Lord of the Rings - Frodo and Sam *walk* to Mordor and to Mount Doom
iii) Cleopatra - I realise that technically she is on a platform and being carried for most of the scene but Cleopatra's entrance into Rome and walking to meet Caesar with their young son Caesarion
iv) Wizard of Oz - Dorothy and co. walk along the Yellow Brick Road
v) Forrest Gump - in his jogging phase (if you allow running as well as walking) from one coast of America to the other end and then back again
vi) Hannibal Brooks - WW2 movie where Oliver Reed's character walks an elephant from a zoo where he was detailed to work as a POW to freedom and safety in neutral territory
vii) Any scene where a prisoner is being escorted to be given the death sentence - the end of Angels With Dirty Faces springs to mind
viii) Mary Poppins - going for a walk in a chalk painting is fairly memorable *g*
ix) Stargate (the movie) - the first time the team walks through the Stargate and into the unknown
x) Return of the Jedi - the palpable sense of 'omfg he's here!' the first time we see the Emperor walking out of his shuttle at the start of the movie
and I think I'll head back to lurkerdom from geekdom *g*
Hehe Considering it's me LOTR and SW are prolly gonna be in there.

Thanks for your suggestions though. They were some I hadn't thought of like The Sound of Music, which I listen to a lot more than I care to admit haha, and Wizard of Oz, which was my favourite movie for years as a child. Thank you thank you thank you to all for your help!
