Sort of. I was excited to meet a band but still haven't met two of the members. The other two were very nice.

And other times I've been really excited to meet someone (maybe a crush or whatnot), and they turned out to be an asshole.

I'm DEFINATELY not talking about 30stm here, guys if thats what you're thinking. I love them to peices and they're probably the most AMAZING people I've ever met. I've met PLENTY of bands, but they're by far my favorite people to be around.

Finch was a definate letdown for me. Bunch of drunken pricks.

...this was AFTER the band showed up an hour late, Nate spilled beer all over himself 4 times within 45 minutes, Vendetta Red was cut down to playing 3 songs (they were nice enough to sit outside and play acoustic all night. They're another bunch of amazing guys. I've met them quite a few times and I love them to peices.),etc.. It was horrible. Don't you think after a shitty night you'd stay around for a while and explain to your fans who paid good money to see you what happend? Nice to know they care so much.Nate ran straight to his bus and hid. Stupid prick.Probably the worst show I've ever seen.

But anywho, I know how excited you get when you go to see a band. At least I get really excited. I dont freak out in front of people. I say hello, tell them how great they are, and maybe ask for a picture. I stopped getting my hopes up after him, but thankfully, the next show I saw after them was our boys and I was totally reassured that not everyone is an asshole like good 'ol Nate. Fucker.

I didn't meet them, but Manmade God were a bunch of primadonnas. They acted like they were the best/biggest band in the world. Before I saw them, I thought their music was okay, but after I saw them, I thought they sucked. A band's personality can change my whole opinion, strangely enough.

But there are also good parts. Like if I think a band isn't very good, if I meet them and they're nice, I start to like them much more. And even if I still don't like their music if they're nice, they get tremendous respect from me.

I had quite the opposite with Manmade God. I met them first with the Murderdolls and they were so nice. Saw them again with Ra and again they were so nice. I spent most of the night hanging with the wife of the guitar player; we have similar professions.

I'm trying to think if there has been anyone that I really thought were jerks. Not off hand. There have been some that I would have loved to have met but they left right after the show without coming out to meet fans.. Power Station was that way.

WOW, for one thing..you 2..Salisobres and earplugs, you guy's are blowing me away because i never knew anyone around here even knew who manmade god WAS! freakyyyyy! Those guy's were awesome with me. Lizard bones is an anthem to me! hahaa! I got on thier street team and frikkin loved them to DEATH but next thing i know james is telling me pann left the band and of course you know the rest..manmade god is now spiral arms - pann. Pann was awesome though. James and steve were always nice to me. Sorry you had a bad experiance . AND megan...Just the opposite with me to with the finch boys..they get mad props from me anyway for beating up the disturbed guy's! WOOO!! They are a bunch of wild ones though.

I heard about the Disturbed thing. I hate them, so I definately support Finch on that. It was just such a disappointment because after liking them for 5 years and FINALLY getting to see them this year (they never come to cleveland), I got my hopes up because I love their music and they seem so chill, but ugh. What a joke.

Well, i'd rather not tell my jared / shannon stories here for fear of being banned again. but all the times after that they were cool.

Yeah, stevie jenkins thing was like that for me....loved thier music..adored him.. my mom also loved them and when she passed we were listening to them. I waited like 4 years then i finally get to see them..i go....front row, boston...my friends birthday...got like 100 beautiful pics, great show, Great time..till we got outside.

I had a terrible accident and burned myself and had to have skin grafts on my face and right wrist and forearm and still had bandages on CLEARLY visable because i had just gotten out of the hospital after spending 2 weeks there. ANYWAY, he comes out and there was this scrawney security guy...making us lineup to get his signature and whatever. So i was going to line up and i just snapped a pic of him signing some girls cd and BLAM, security guy tries taking me down...grabs me by my right arm that's all banaged and it hurts like hell...wasn't just a little burn...i had a major skin graft. So he is telling me to give him my camera or he's going to call the cops.. I'm yelling in pain and crying of the pain because of what this asshole just did.
Steve just stood there and watched the whole thing and did nothing while fans told him to make the guy stop. He Just kept telling the security guy to get my camera. I was fucking pissed. So the cops come..tell the guy they can't make me give him my camera so they leave. What was funny is i took about 100 pics inside and they freaked cause i took one outside? BUT, i guess he felt guilty and ended up coming off the bus and apoligizing to me and asking me if there was anything he could do...i just said no thanks and left..i was just too pissed and hurting to even bother.

I cant fucking believe that story about 3EB. Its amazing how these people think they're gods and shouldnt have to treat everyone else like humans. WTF? He obviously saw you in pain, but just wanted to look good in front of everyone else. Jerk. I bet he and Nate are best friends. GAH. I wish someone would always be there to video tape these encounters. I'd love to send them into these jerks and show them how shitty they are to their FANS. WE'RE the people that spend our money on them. WE'RE the ones that help pay for their tour busses that the fucking pansies run to without saying hello to the people that came to see them play. It just blows my mind.

Thanks for the compliment, Diane. =) Yeah I started listening to Manmade God because I thought their album cover was neat, but I didn't hear many of their songs. I dunno, maybe they were just putting on an act on stage and they were truly nice.

Man, sorry about the Stephen story. I saw him on Punk'd (he wasn't the victim), and he was acting like an ass.

Not many know who Manmade God is/was. They were great and I loved their music. I met them because I liked what I heard when they opened for the Murderdolls. When they came back through, I set up to interview them. They remembered me from the previous show. Craig's wife is also a nurse so we had a lot to talk about.

I have never liked 3eb. I ended up at a couple of their shows because Tonic was on tour with them and I saw enough to know why I didn't like them. I can't list them as being assholes to me since I didn't talk to them..

I can remember one band boy being as ass and later I told him so.. That was Brad from the Verve Pipe. When I met him later after a Verve Pipe show, he told me that he can be as ass at times! I was just trying to get someones attention at a festival and asked him to get someone for me and he was downright rude! No reason for it either.

I knew if I just filtered through all of the fluff in my brain, I would remember a letdown.. Evan Dando of the Lemonheads! It's not that he was rude either, it's that he was so messed up on whatever that he couldn't sing his songs properly that night. That was definitely a letdown. I wasn't there to see the Lemonheads, I was there for Soul Asylum and those boys have never let me down, even when Dave Pirner has been sick! The only letdown I have EVER had from Dave, when he wouldn't play me a song and even then he made me laugh. At my last show of their tour with Matchbox 20, he said on stage that "this goes out to Courtney who wanted to hear something different but is stuck hearing this"... I didn't get my song but I got a good laugh. I have that one tape somewhere. Gotta love him!
