So, I went in Wal-mart with a friend last night, and for giggles I thought I would see if they had ABL in stock... I was pleased to see they did... and it was near the back, so i brought it out to the front (who needs 311 or 3 doors down?) and then i stepped back to marvel at my work and it occured to me that "the effin packaging for abl is genius!!!" ABL sticks out like a sore thumb next to all the other cds because it's very white, with the bright red lettering... and when sitting on the shelf next to the billion cds with black color schemes it's destined to be seen... It screams "LOOK AT ME, I'M DIFFERENT BEHOTCH"

Wonder if this was considered when creating the packaging...

[humps you]
You know what's weird, I did the EXACT same thing. tongue.gif They only had one copy of ABL in stock and I put it at the top so it would be eye level with most of the people walking by. I was proud. My friend who was with me just rolled her eyes, lol.

You should see Dredg - Catch Without Arms

You would be in awe.

It'd be easy to "find Waldo" in that scenario.

I walked into a Best Buy the day ABL was released, and there it was, BLAZIN' red+white. it was right on an endcap, in the 2nd isle, under "new releases". the funny thing, I noticed the package first, then realized who it was. I was both shocked and elated at the same time.

Definately genius, and definately planned. Virgin must've decided to used 30STM as a guinea pig for alotta new things, some worked better than others...

I walked into Best Buy and zeroed in on the cd and just plowed through people to get to it. I was ready to fight for the very last copy or bite anyone who stood in the way...unfortunately i seemed to be the only one grabbing it up greedily! dry.gif

The best part about that whole story was that the cd was talking to you. What did I tell you about doing hard drugs after working late...and without me. I understand though. ABL has a nicer package.

It's working out just fine fuck you. Now, a question of etiquette as I pass, do I give you the ass or the crotch?

You can basically answer anything with a Fight Club quote.

Back to the topic at hand. If I didn't know anything about 30STM and saw that cd in a store, I'd go over just to look at it because it stands out so much.

With the first copy of the CD I even kept the plastic that's over the CD beacause even that was cooler looking than most any other CD cover, and that was just the wrapper.
