While out yesterday staring at what I didn't think would be a difficult decision, I was faced with far too many choices and prices for something "up to date".
So here is my question for everyone.
What are the best mp3 or ipod or whatever the heck players at the best value? meaning I want something quality but not something too outrageous.

I have 512MB of MP3s on my cell phone and the ability to have more if I buy a new card. It's not but a hundred songs or so, but it's nice to listen to when I'm out and about and bored... (Motorola MPx220)

I don't need much space for songs. I tend to listen to the same songs every time I go to the gym. When I'm working (like I'm supposed to be right now) I tend to just shuffle between several different cds.
200 songs sounds like a lot.

200, if you look at an average of 10 -15 songs a CD, is really only about 20 cds, give or take. You could get an ipod shuffle which holds 1 GB of music which is about 3 or 4 cds, but you can't see what's playing or anything. But for about 50 bucks more you can get the ipod mini which is supposed to hold up to 1000 songs. I have been using that at the gym since I got is and I love it. I set it on shuffle to listen to everything or I pick one album (mostly 30STM). As players go, you should look at something that holds atleast 4GB. You can always build up as new CDs come out and such. Also, with all the radio interviews that 30STM that have been posted, if they play through iTunes, they will play on the iPod, which is cool cuz I don't always have time to listen to it right then.
hope that helps.

What about this nano thing. 210 doesnt seem so bad for thast amount of space. given how often I update my technology, I'd have it forever.
