I just saw these guys in concert and they bring the hardcore...enough said.

I heard a commercial of theirs on FUSE...they are pretty hardcore...didn't hear enough though to know whether or not I like them...I'll have to check into it...

As I Lay Dying ≠ Hardcore

But...

As I Lay Dying = Damn Good Music/Live Show

Seen 'em twice, and ran into their drummer at a Carl's Jr. A friend of mine who's a germophobe, wouldn't pick her order number up after it fell to the floor, so she just stared at it til he started to feel uncomfortable and picked it up for her. Kinda messed up, but also kinda funny.

agreed metalcore.

they have hardcore parts but not in all of the songs and they really switch it up.
its good shit.

I think "truckloads" is a good description for how much screaming is in a typical AILD song.

its odd i dont like frail words collapse or any of their previous albums but i love shadows are security also might be the fact that the mixer for KsE's last album did shadows might have something to do with it cause both albums sound epic

Except on Forever. You need to know the words to that song to have a good sing along.

I found these guys listening to In Flames... "The Powerless Rise" came out a week ago. The lyrics are much more understandable in this one than "Frail Words Collapse", and the production's great. I don't think I could listen to them regularly, but each record has been better than the last, in my opinion.

PS: Is there no way to search words <4 letters long? I had to look up "Frail Words Collapse" to find "As I Lay Dying"? mellow.gif
