I love playing soccer...I only like to watch it if I'm actually at the game, tv doesn't do it for me. It bothers me when Americans say soccer is a pussy sport...soccer players wear 1 pad (shin gaurds) and hardly ever stop running. It's a very, VERY difficult sport to play. I remember one game I played I went up for a header and got kicked in the face...with the guys cleets...I was bleeding all over the place. As far as I'm concerned, the four most physically demanding sports are soccer, ice hockey, water polo, and lacrosse.

You don't think football (american) is one the most physically demanding? What the fuck!

No...they have more pads than they know what to do with....they run for 10 seconds and then stop for 30 seconds before running again....

so they slam into each other...thats about the only physically taxing thing in that sport. american football, imo, is very overrated.

Whats your local team?

and was it ManU. Reserve team or youth team? cause they wouldent use Prem Squad for local unless it was for charity or something. Plus i dont like ManU.

I'm English therefore have to like football!! I support Aston Villa, and have done for many years.
You wanted opinions about football? Well I'm fed up with the behaviour that players think is accptable. I'm fed up with the refs letting the players get away with everything they do.
It's a red card offence to even swear on the pitch, but you see thugs like that tosser Rooney effing and blinding all over the place and nothing's done about it.

/rant!!

This surprised me. I'm usually the one starting up footie threads on other boards. If you couldn't already tell, I'm a Leeds United supporter. Give us one more year and we'll be back in the Prem. I caught the Norwich v ManUre match last week and I my brother and I were cheering so loud, I woke my mom up from her siesta. I really hope that the Canaries stay up but they couldn't even seal the deal when they were up 2 goals on Palace with 20 minutes left in the match (I hate AJ by the way. That boy is Hollywood bound with his dramatic tumbles. He didn't deserve that cap for England against... Azerbaijan was it?). Anyway, there's a London derby kicking off in about 10 minutes. I hope marstoseconds30's gooners are ready for a mollywhopping from Chelski. Oh, and did I mention that besides my family, band, and school, football is top priority? I'm sure you couldn't tell. tongue.gif

If anyone cares to know, Thierry Henry is out of the match today and the game is at Stamford Bridge. This pretty much means the goons are dropping three more points to the Russian Revolution who will be 3 points away from the title after this game. I really hate Arsenal.

It's abit too little to late for Norwich

If they'd of bought Dean Ashton at the start of the seaon things might of been different, instead of january

My dad is a religious supporter, home and away.

Hey do you think you can pm me the final score for the Canaries match? I had to tape the second half of the Chelsea v Arse match (which I'm watching right now) and I don't want to spoil the scoreline for myself. Thanks.

EDIT: Ashton proves his money's worth again!!!!!! Boy that lad's been a steal at 3 million. I'm crossing my fingers that they stay up.

Yup. 2-1 as you probably know now

He's doubled his value, and some.

But did you see the first goal... Safri
