As most of you already know, one of the Echelon Soldiers fell today.... Drew Voluck, aka malinfoe.

I didn't have the opportunity to get to know Drew on a personal level, as I am still a relative new-comer to these boards. However, I want to get to know the person that he was, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Please - post memories, quotes, photos... anything that you hold in fond memory of him. If he never got his 30STM Yearbook, we should make him one of his own with this thread.

I didnt really know Drew very well, which is really what makes me sad. I wish there would have been time to get to know him better, which is terrible... now I'll never get to. He seemed like a really great, funny guy, that was very loved and will be missed by many.

TOMORROW: I will wear my "Mars Army" shirt to work in memory of DREW. I will listen to some of his favorite groups like 30STM, Radiohead, and Soundgarden. I think we all should, in honor of a fallen 'echelon' soldier.

I will wear my wrist band and sweater tomorrow. And everyday after today it will forever carry two symbols.. This band, and Drew. I met him at lifeonmars.tk. They will be mixed now.

I miss him.

I would wear my hoodie tomorrow at work, but I can't because of the whole uniform and food safety thing. I will, however, wear my wristband. If the managers don't like it, to fucking bad.

A memory I have is when he set up this chat room thing at life on mars and I was in a pissy mood coz it wouldnt work good for me and I was cursing all over the place and he calmly talked to me and helped me fix the problem. Another is a real nice letter he sent me.

I didn't know him that well, but I enjoyed reading his posts. We conversed a few times about Cave In, I know he really liked them (as do I). He seemed like a pretty talented kid, too. RIP.

Wow, I just heard about this, I didn't know him at all except for what posts I've seen of him on here.
This is such a tragic thing, my heart goes out to his family and friends.
RIP

I didn't talk all that much to Drew but I always enjoyed reading his topics...The thing I most remember about Drew is his INTENSE love for many different kinds of music. I almost think that guy liked every band imaginable!!! LOL...

I also know that even though Drew may have rubbed people wrong on this board sometimes, he had tons of intelligence and he could always back up any opinion he may have had. He was very respectful, even if he disagreed with you. It never surprised me that Drew and Aaron were friends, as I always envisioned them as "two peas in a pod"!!!

Drew has been a part of this community for as long as I can remember, and I've been around for a very long time too. RIP Drew, you will be sorely missed, but as Aaron put it...YOU WILL NEVER FADE AWAY!!!

I don't know what to say, but I just wanted to bump this back to the top for anybody who hadn't seen it and wants to post.
All I can say is that he will be sorely missed by many, many people.
